Great Italian in the heart of downtown SLO! Would 100% recommend going. The pizzas are delicious! And the bread is the pizza dough! Friendly service and great cocktails. Likely the best cocktails in town. They have a cute outdoor space in the back also!

I came here with a friend for dinner. There was a bit of a wait so we had a drink at the bar while we waited. Our table was ready quicker than expected and we were seated outside. So many different pizza options, however, I settled on the Pisellona Pizza. I was quite surprised that the quality of the pizza was very Italian and authentic. There is a wood burning oven which makes the pizza extra crispy and tasty. I’ll have to go back to try out the pastas if I can get past the pizzas.

Mind blowing puffy wood fire pizza, super friendly staff, and romantic but fun atmosphere. Absolutely great experience. Definitely get the bread to start!

I got the margherita and the 19th top. The margherita was phenomenal! One of the best pizzas I’ve had and definitely the best margherita. Usually when I have a good margherita, something stands out. Sometimes it’s the tomato purée. Sometimes it’s the basil. Other times it’s the cheese. With flour house I simply wasn’t able to pinpoint what exactly set the margherita apart. As I was munching on the chewy base, the toppings sloshing about in my mouth, an incredible aroma was wafting to my nose from behind. It felt like the mozzarella, basil, and tomato purée combined to create a power punch that elicited a foodwars-level reaction.

One of the best pizza places. Plain butter pasta was also good for kids. Give a pass on the desserts. We tried the tiramisu and nutella pastries but waited a long time for them so we were nit charged for them.

I can’t recommend Flour House enough. It’s been great for years. I recently needed to start eating gluten free and their gf crust was amazing. I needed to check that I ordered it directly. They also had a pistachio pastry dessert that was gf and one of the best desserts I’ve ever eaten.

Great pies as always. Average wine list. While we appreciated our server’s attentiveness, it’s annoying that there was no coffee available due to the espresso machine being shut down before closing. The noise level is also too loud. With that said, I always return when I’m in town.

Very impressive pizza. I had the “autunno” (autumn) pizza, a butternut pumpkin cream based pizza with prosciutto and pesto. Personal philosophy: if you’re going to try a top-20-in-the-country pizza place, don’t stick to your regular pizza choice, explore a little flavour! All in all, we tried 5 pizzas and all were excellent. Service was very good too. Admittedly we went early ish on a Sunday, but they had us seated and waited in under 5 minutes. Will definitely go again next time we are in SLO.

Pizza is really good, authentic Neapolitan style, but don’t order the weird specialty pies. Some of those are kind of strange. If you stick with the classics, the flavors are quite good. One gripe on the pizza- the fresh mozzarella option is just plain old grocery store mozzarella- not the high quality that they should add.

Heated patio out back is cozy on a chilly November evening. Super friendly staff. Meter mondays are a fun way to try out multiple pizzas. Crust was a bit burnt at parts, but otherwise was great and chewy.
