We were very disappointed. I hate to give bad reviews to local businesses, however as you can see from the 2 pictures this place should have been fixed (up to code & health standards) before opening. We waited a long time for our food and only 2 other families there. 2 ribeyes 1 very well and the other med well. 2 sides, 2 8pcs shrimp with 2 sides. Food gets there, steaks very thin, both med rare, 1 shrimp order missed, shrimp brought literally burned and badly over cooked. Sorry won’t try again & wont recommend.

First time visit. The next best thing to a home cooked meal. I felt like i was at my mothers house. Super good food. I cleaned my plate!!

This was a first time visit. We almost didn’t come because of a couple of the reviews. My family and I are certainly glad we decided to try it after all. First, we were served by a very pleasant young woman named Sarah. She was very attentive and did everything she could to make sure that we had a good experience.

We had not been here in over a year. Decided to try again & happy we did! Club sandwich was just the way I ordered, onion rings were huge & delicious; my friend agreed his dinner was great!

Very disappointed. They are the only show in town as far as breakfast buffets go. My first visit there was pleasant but every return visit since has been dismal at best. Empty buffet bar. Very little sausage or bacon and what was on there was swimming in it’s own grease. It’s like they just dump the new in on top of the old without any thought of the grease building up. The scrambled egg tray was almost bare and what was left in was dried out. The biscuit tray was empty. Occasionally you would see an employee come and look over the bar but no new food was brought out, despite most of the trays being empty or almost empty. We were served one cup of coffee and never offered a refill. Again, it was very disappointing. If they were to try harder I would think they could pack the place but as it is, it was mostly empty, as it should be with this dismal excuse of a breakfast buffet. I can’t speak of their lunch or dinner service, but breakfast is a bust here.

Severe inconsistencies with multiple orders of the same menu item. Pasta was very dry — hardly any sauce, Steak was bland, no season whatsoever. They hardly marinated the steaks, it’s appalling.

We came around 9 when online it stated they were open until 10, however they never told us they closed at 9 on a Saturday. This place was the worst place I’ve stepped in since the gas chamber in basic training. All of the steaks were completely raw, dark red raw. Told the waitress, she asked if we wanted to put the steaks back on, instead asked for chicken tenders, politely. They were out of baked potatoes, and after trying to eat the sides, found a large black hair in the fries. Told them again and the cook who has long black hair, rolled his eyes and said oh my God like a teenager. We ended up leaving without eating.

One of the worst meals I had while I was in Texas and also a very odd experience. To the food part, the corn fritters were okay but they seemed like something Frozen pre-made from a bag. The menu said they had famous chicken fried steak and the waiter recommended to me, when it came out it was very pale looking and all the breading just fell right off of the steak and was very soggy and greasy. The piece of meat was okay although it was not seasoned at all and it was very small it was more breading than meat but none of the breading got eaten ..because it was so soggy and just fell right off when you touch it. The mashed potatoes definitely seem homemade and they were pretty good the white gravy was flavorless. The green beans taste like canned with some sort of meat thrown in there a little shreds of maybe bacon? But they tasted very Bland and like they were right from a can with no seasoning or anything. Now to the odd experience part, the way the place was being ran seemed very strange anytime someone had to pay with cash all of the staff had to rummage around each other’s while it’s to make change, when I went to pay the waiter had to pull out his own wallet and try to give me $5 out of his wallet for the change I told them to just keep it and left as I was in no hurry to stay around anymore than I had to. It’s hard to describe the experience I had all I know is it was very strange and the food was terrible. For something you call Famous Sun your menu you should be able to put it out perfect every single time. I attempted to order the meatloaf first but was told they were out of that

I can’t speak for eating in since we got our food to go here. Staff was polite, prices were good, and the Mac and Cheese was delicious. Unfortunately the fish and shrimp were both dry and the salad not so fresh.
