We are a family-owned business since 1971. We offer many in house made sides, entrees, and desserts. We are a destination dining restaurant. We have a lovely view of the wildlife on the west side of our building. There you can watch the birds and squirrels while you eat. Driving back from Pittsburgh, we decided to find a place with some mountain charm and Foot of the Mountain fit the bill and more. Great salads, Roast Beef and gravy, turkey gravy, fries and more. Home made corn fritters were awesome. I had the wings and if you follow me at all you know I try wings EVERYWHERE I go.

We were looking for a place to eat on our trip to Tennessee. This was perfect for lunch. Food was great and the service was very good. My drink was never empty, the waitress warned me of the heat in the me wrap I ordered, and the speed of the food was wonderful. Highly recommend this little restaurant at the foot of the mountain.

Foot of the Mountain serves authentic home-style food. Service is professional and friendly. I had the turkey dinner special. The white and dark meat were shredded, moist and tender; straight off the bone like homemade. The gravy and stuffing were excellent.

Just tried this restaurant and got exactly what I wanted. Perfectly cooked breaded mushrooms that I have been craving from a restaurant for a very long time. The owner, Candy, is such a sweetheart. I ordered a starter of breaded mushrooms with a Reuben meal and it was delicious. Good home cooking. If you want good old-fashioned dishes, this is the place to be. 🙂

Hearty food and friendly service. The building and décor are frozen in time (1960-70’s) but what a nice little place of days gone by. Enjoyed the windows overlooking the woods with all the bird feeders. Enjoyed reading the history of President and Mrs. Carter’s visit. Sausage gravy and biscuit were amazing with fresh sausage and flaky biscuits.
