We ate dinner here today. Fabulous. Food selections were exquisite and extraordinarily well prepared. We sat outside, so it was a bit hot, but that was our choice. Waiter service outside was a little bit slow. Hence the four stars. Aside from that couldn’t ask for a lot more. Really happy with our experience here.

I was a bit disappointed compared to my expectations. We booked this place for a friend’s birthday in San Ramon. It was a lot of disappointment overall compared to the branch in Cupertino. The server looked very tired and served all the food in a very dry manner. From the champagne to the steak… everything was a mess. The raw oysters were runny, stale and had a slight odor. I don’t want to visit again.

Took my son here to celebrate him graduating high school, a party of 6. Everything was amazing. Great atmosphere, great service, the food was amazing. Portions are more than generous and delicious. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and tender. Definitely worth it for this special occasion.

My youngest sister and her boyfriend recommended this restaurant for our family to dine at. We were originally expected dine at another restaurant, excited to go to this restaurant. Based on the reviews on the other restaurant were horrible. Much to my dismay, I was actually not very impressed with our waitress. Both my husband and I agree that she seemed a little annoyed to be serving our party. I was hoping for really good service considering this seem like a more upscale steakhouse. I was actually thinking to myself that I would never come back, but unfortunately my dad wants to come to this restaurant again for his and my birthdays. The food is actually very good. I will just hope, wish and pray that we do not get the same waitress. I was a little bit perturbed that we had to give her an 18% tip. She probably wasn’t even worth 15%. The majority of the patrons dining in this restaurant were caucasian. We only saw four other Asians and maybe another couple of color. Lastly, our dad is 83 and we were seated further into the restaurant. It was annoying for my dad, because he had to walk far. I also didn’t like that. The restaurant was kind of dark.

My son has and daughter in law have been here before and love the Australian wagu filet so that is how we ended up eating here. The food was delicious and very beautiful but as others have pointed out the service needs attention. We were seated a couple of minutes after our reservation time but then continued to wait at our table for attention. Water was finally delivered and then finally our waitress came over and delivered menus for food but not drinks. After we ordered our wait was not very long and then things got back on track. Beef short ribs were melt in your mouth, blackened rib eye was done perfectly and the Australian wagu filet rare was to die for. Just don’t order it medium rare. Totally killed it. Lace is a little loud but well lit. Sides, appetizers and desserts were very good.

Amazing food and service. Only issue is how loud the restaurant gets. Probably the way it’s built and acoustics, just gets very loud when close to full capacity. You don’t want to be shouting across the table when enjoying fine dining.

Food is great but staff lacks attention to detail for a higher end restaurant. I had the steak and scampi and my steak was melting in the mouth. But hubby had the Blacked ribeye and it was a bit too salty and crispy onion rings on top were soggy. Also you would think for being a higher end Steakhouse,they would bag your leftovers for you but the waitress just handed us the box. Price was reasonable for a steakhouse. Bill was $460 for 4 people

Celebrated birthdays here many times. But tonight is mine!! One of the best steakhouse’s in the area. My ribeye was cooked to perfection! The service is always great and tonight Robert was on point. He knows the menu very well and was super friendly and accommodating. Another win on my birthday tonight here at Forbes Mill Steakhouse in Danville.
