Excellent service and even better food, the small-town diner atmosphere topped it off! I definitely recommend stopping by for any meal if you are in the area. Be sure to try the crab bisque, you won’t be disappointed!

My first time going to Ford’s for crabs after asking for recommendations on Facebook of places to dine-in for crabs. Great recommendation! I got a dozen #2 males for $24 a dozen. They add a $10 fee for dine-in (still not bad). The crabs were served hot, had the right amount of seasoning, were meaty and cooked to perfection. Since my main mission was crabs that’s what my mind was geared towards. I also got a dozen of crabs to go and a bowl of Maryland crab soup. The others in my party had the crab wrap with fries, fish and chips, Old Bay chicken wings, crab pretzel (that was tasty, right amount of crab dip and cheese on top of the pretzel), crab cake sandwich with fries Sodas were served from a bottle. Sweet tea came in a 32 Oz cup with the perfect amount of ice. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waitress was friendly and patient since we couldn’t decide on what appetizers, entrees to get. I like you walk in and seat yourself.

I have been coming for lunch a couple times a month for the last 5 years. I’m all for supporting small business. I don’t like to complain, but I just had to go back in and say something. I paid $17.49 ($19 with carry out tip) and got 3 fried oysters…. some french fries & no drink, so we know potatoes don’t cost very much. I think I should be able to get a decent lunch for almost $20. The oysters were good, but I won’t be back. I just won’t pay that & still leave hungry. They said they gave me the big ones, but the menu says you’ll get 5-6. They were not concerned that they were losing a regular customer.

Food & Service was amazing. I got the crab cake sandwich with potatoes salad and mac & cheese. We also had the crab dip and peel & eat shrimp for a appetizer . Everything was amazing. All of the waitstaff was super friendly and nice. Would definitely come back!

Never had a bad meal yet. Crabs are good we ordered medium but were loaded with old bay next time light.

Very casual, but excellent food. Had crab cake sandwich. Best i ever had and I’m from Maryland. Veggie crab soup was fresh and delish! Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. If i lived closer, i would go more often. Took some soup to go home.

We had an awesome time at Fords seafood. We docked our sailboat at the bulkhead, it’s about a mile long walk from the water. We all ordered the Wednesday special which was the crab cake sandwhich. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. We will definitely be back to order again sometime soon.

Stopped in during a visit to Rock Hall for a quick lunch bite with my father and it was such a treat. The food was down home comfort and the service was excellent. Will be back on future visits to Rock Hall.

15 of us met up in Rock Hall-(6 flew in from FL) specifically Ford’s- to have crabs in celebration of our father(7 of us are his children, 1 grandchild, 5 nieces and nephews) who lived in and loved RH. (Had been Town Manager and started the Rock Hall Times back when). Paid for a bushel plus a dozen ahead of time($380). From the moment we parked- we were disappointed. Small, dank and dark atmosphere. Dirty restroom. Non- accommodating. Young waitress was the best thing there. She tried. Another waitress came out suddenly (after our drink order) and told us they were out of crabs!! We couldn’t believe it. Stated we paid for such and such… then the owner came out and stated ‘we don’t sell bushels for eating in’. Was very angry, and scary. Didn’t offer to turn that in to so many dozens of crabs, etc. Instead he let it be known he didn’t want to serve us. Told us to go to Watermans(which our dad also loved) AND BOY WERE WE GLAD WE DID! (Thank you Fords!) Sat all together- (no problem!) outside on the water with a breeze and SCENE! Had delicious crabs! Great service! Can’t say enough good after such an awful expierence.

My husband and I had there half-price dinners. We both had the cat fish with ff and very good coleslaw and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, the oyster stew was among the best I’ve ever had.
