This is not a dine in restaurant. This is a hole in the wall place and it is a gem! There is one table with four chairs on your left and three “waiting” chairs on your right. No bathroom. I went on a Friday after stopping at two taco places that were closed. I walked in and saw three men who worked construction. I knew immediately the servings would be big.

The service is not that good. Although the food is pretty good the service is not that good…we ordered food but we were missing one of our meals. The woman told us that she thought we only wanted 1 (we wanted 2)after that she told us that if we wanted to get the meal that we didn’t get we would have to pay extra.

I will try to be fair. We live locally and have been using this place for years mainly because it is relatively close and the owner is a local. The food is very very basic Ameicanized Chinese. The dishes are very basic and specific orders are mostly rice or noodles. The meats chicken beef shrimp etc are very low quality. The place needs a complete overhaul cleaning wise the cookware needs replacing as the food has a consistent metallic and burnt taste. If you have not had good Chinese then u won’t know any better. But she needs to step up in quality,cooking and menu. The owner is such a hard worker and I wish her well.

The nastiest chinese food i have ever eaten. I ordered pepper steak and a shrimp roll. The shrimp roll was so soggy and had 1 half of a shrimp in the whole roll it was also burnt. The pepper steak was fatty and there was so much rice and not enough meat and I just don’t like how the gravy was greasy and runny. It was just a disaster for dinner today. I will never there again.

Normally the food is really good, today I ordered a lunch special with shrimp and broccoli and a shrimp roll. The Shrimp and Broccoli was delicious, the shrimp roll was spoiled. I called the restaurant and lady could not believe that the shrimp roll was spoiled. Even the smell of it was strong spoiled smell. I took it back and she replaced it, this one was ok, but had a faint spoil smell, I called her back and she act like I was lying, I don’t like that fast talking and saying that no one else had an issue. Maybe they just threw it in the garbage. I asked her if she smelled the other shrimp roll I returned, she didn’t respond. I’m not patronizing these place no more.

Exxon was once headquartered in New Jersey, and it leaves behind a legacy of NJ Chinese places that dole out oil/grease like the Exxon Valdez did. I hate most NJ Chinese food places for this reason. This place goes easier than most, has good prices and consistent food.
