Wow. I’ve done a tour of every hot chicken spot in Nashville and Fowl Play is legitimate. Great crisp, not too oily, real heat, and spiced well all the way through. I wanted to walk back and hug the cook.

Delicious fried chicken, with a fantastic spicy hot sauce. I got the chicken & waffles, with hot sauce on the side. Five stars would mean using fresh waffles rather than pre-prepped ones, but everything else was great. Highly recommend you try it, and be prepared for some serious heat.

Highly recommend and a place to return when we visit Nashville again. Great service and food was amazing. It made our expectations and more. We had the half mild chicken (double fried). The chicken was crispy, tender, juicy with a hint of spice. Our server was helpful with recommendations and also provided us a side of ranch sauce to try.

I have heard a lot of talk about Fowl Play Hot Chicken. So like every southern boy I had to try it. I’m sure it’s a lot better at the restaurant just like everything else is, but at the Titans game the chicken was dry and the fries clearly had been sitting there for a while. The flavor was good and just a warning medium is on the spicy side.

Had to try their Nashville style chicken after a co worker told me about their chicken sandwich and it was delicious ( I got the hot chicken sandwich and it was very spicy so if you don’t like it to spicy I’ll recommend you to get mild ) fries are also well seasoned. Highly recommend!

Probably the best chicken sandwich spot around. If you aren’t a huge fan of spice then be conservative with your flavor selection. MILD has plenty of kick. Anything over mild should only be tried by spice fans. I’d recommend the “OG” sandwich. The sliders and waffle options looked good too. The fries are OK but are nothing special.

For fried chicken this place is average from the chicken to the sauce. Came here for lunch ordered the 5 tender combo which came with fries and mac and cheese, medium level spice. In terms of the spice level, the medium descriptor is on par. The flavor is a southern spice dry seasoning/rub. Not the saucy kind. The taste is ok

Ordered from here twice. Both orders had multiple orders both times with variable levels of heat from “what the cluck” to mild. We get six boxes with no labeling whatsoever even though proper labeling options are available there on the box to be marked. Also, multiple items not packed with the order. Food is great, but the to go ordering is jacked up!

Delicious and fresh. The tenders are pretty large, the three piece with two sides would be plenty. The “Hot” adds nice heat but not burning, very tasty. Chicken and waffle was also delish, the syrup was the weak link there.Mac n Cheese was good, nice twist with the pimento!
