We got married at OTR at Fox Hopyard on 9/10/22. It was an absolutely perfect day from start to finish! Melanie was so helpful throughout the planning process, and very easy to reach. She is so organized, knowledgeable, and super detail oriented! We had our rehearsal dinner the Thursday before the wedding, and she was able to coordinate with our officiant and wedding party to ensure a smooth flow for our rehearsal. On our wedding day, Melanie and her staff were super attentive and available throughout the entire day and night (from getting ready in the bridal suite to packing up all the decor at the end of the night) to ensure everything went smoothly. The set-up of the venue for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was perfect, and all the decorations were set-up beautifully. Every detail was accounted for! The food and drinks were so delicious for both the rehearsal dinner and on our wedding day! We had so many compliments from our guests regarding the food and venue itself- they loved the picturesque outdoor space and charm of the venue. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, and are thankful for the great experience with On The Rocks at Fox Hopyard.

Melanie and the team at OTR are the absolute best. Melanie has a true gift for event planning and execution, her talent shines through in the details she is able to think about and plan for. When we last minute added a hot pretzel station for the end of the night, she thoughtfully had the staff put out to-go containers for each guest. She did the same for cupcakes we had for dessert, without us asking (honestly I never would have thought to even ask for this)!. When it got chilly during dinner before dancing started, the team brought out heaters for the guests, when the shuttle bus wouldn’t drive up the hill to pick everyone up she coordinated several golf carts to drive guests down to the bus (while I stood there in a panic). The staff set up our table decor fantastically, they were so attentive to myself and my husband throughout the day. We had drinks waiting for us after we walked up the aisle when the ceremony ended. We had a platter of appetizers brought directly to us during cocktail hour. They accommodated requests from family members and bridal party members that were not planned for and they were so gracious about it when they easily could have said no. I would recommend everyone who wants to have a midsize wedding check out OTR! The value for the cost is outstanding and Melanie is truly a magician. I can not recommend OTR enough!

Interviewed for a sous chef position, was made a job offer, then nothing. Ghosted by the head chef after being told how desprate she was for kitchen help. Was told the old sous chef no called-no showed days before i interviewed. Kinda know why now. Kitchen smelled of organic decomosition, was told that some soups and other items are pre packaged are being served regulary. Personally if i was paying $9 for a bowl of chowder, I’d want it to be made fresh. Let alone have to pay the anual membership fee for the privilege of eating a $40 pork chop. Its honestly not that interesting enough for that level of exclusivity. Shame this is the only restaurant in the area, its clear that their priorities are not in check. #remarkably disappointing

Weddings at On the Rocks are as fun as they are unique. If you’re looking for something that isn’t typical, this is the place. Their cuisine is both flavorful and portioned perfectly. You’ll never go away hungry. The pavillion is a great place for a reception because you’re out of the elements and a slight breeze is almost always present to keep your guests comfortable. There’s more than ample room for a dance floor for your guests to enjoy. Melanie is a joy to work with and will ensure that every part of your wedding is taken care of efficiently. All in all, a great place to get married!

My son just had his wedding at On the Rocks. It was AMAZING! Melanie was so professional and spent the day making sure we loved everything. She was quick with emails and went above and beyond all of our requests. She gave great advice and helped make decisions. The food was fantastic, our guests are still talking about the clam chowder. Every menu item was delicious and beautifully served. We had a gorgeous weather day and i don’t think there was anything to improve. The staff was awesome, so friendly and helpful. The venue looked magical. They transformed it into everything my son and his new wife wanted. Just beautiful. Best day ever

My husband and I had our wedding at Fox Hopyard in June and it was amazing. Melanie goes above and beyond and she truly made planning a wedding nowhere near as stressful as I anticipated. She not only is responsive and extremely helpful but also so professional. The day would not have run as smoothly and effortlessly without her. The food was amazing and the presentation was beautiful. Everyone kept commenting on how pretty everything was set up and the ice cream sundae bar and French fry station were definitely peoples favorites. Our wedding was everything we wanted and more! I love Fox Hopyard Restaurant. It is delightfully classy and the servers are absolutely wonderful. I am so disappointed in the food. It has been this way for a while now. I really think the manager needs to take a look at what he is serving customers. It is not fresh. I had the Fried Fish and french fries the last time i was there and the portion of the fish was huge, however it was not fresh …..it was chewy and obviously had been frozen. My friend had the scallops and they were not good either..
