The food here is exceptional. Not good, exceptional. I had the coconut salmon and it’s the best meal I’ve had in weeks. I hate brown rice. The brown rice they served I could eat straight from the pot. I hate salad. The salad dressing made me want to eat lettuce like a bunny. And don’t even talk about the sauce on the salmon. Also, it was huge. This is going to feed me probably into tomorrow. I’m on food stamps and I’m here to tell you that $16 I spent on this meal was worth it.

Absolutely delicious. Franchesca’s is located on highland Ave. Street parking is available for free but the area can be busy at times. The cafe is so cute. It features a small sit down area with beautiful hanging plants and a community resource board. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I ordered the vegan Korean BBQ bowl and several empanadas to share with my family (plantain, guava, spinach, shredded chicken & corn, beefless, caramel apple, & pizza). Everything was amazing. The empanadas were huge and came with 3 different dipping sauces. The vegan bowl was so savory. The vegan “meat” tasted great. I would highly recommend visiting this small business. Yum!

The empanadas are terrific! They are a good size, stuffed and the crust is wonderful: flaky and flavorful. I loved the chicken and the pork but the buffalo chicken was the best!

Everything we had was great. My wife and I thought the vegan empanadas were the best of the bunch but all were good, including the corn and wheat with shredded chicken. The pupusas and cassava with cheese were also extra special treats. Yum! We will be back!

If you like empanadas, this place is a must! Delicious, affordable, locally owned, lovey people! I had the chicken and corn with white flour empanada- and the beef and potatoes corn flour empanada, both were excellent (flaky with a lot of filling, two was a perfect lunch). They had many options plus tamales, cannot wait to come back and try more!!

This place is so clean and friendly, not to mention the food was good too. I picked up my order, and while waiting, I didn’t smell anything but cleanliness. In most small places, your clothes picks up the frying small, but the waiting area was comfortable and fresh.
