Nestled inside a historic building in downtown Crawfordsville that once housed a grocery, feed and hardware store of the same name. Although a little tough to find, it’s worth the effort!! The black letters on the window aren’t visible when driving up and down the street so just look for the chairs out front on the corner and keep looking!!

8/02/23 Dinner. My wife had the steak frittes (3), with a side salad (3), and I had a Buffalo chicken wrap (3, siracha sauce) and a side salad. The waitress said she would sub-out my fries for a side salad. She took my fries and then charged me $3.99 for the salad. She never said there would be a charge for the salad. Since there wasn’t a paper menu to look at, I had to trust what she was saying. We had to order off the server’s ipad. Molten lava dessert was a failure; the manager took it off the bill.

We stopped at the restaurant for dinner while a road trip from Baltimore to the Twin Cities. It turned out to be a very good choice. We had the Valley Chicken with Smashed Potatoes and Maple Carrots ($22.99) and the 3-piece Fish & Chips ($18.99). The food was very good as well as the service, especially for a busy Saturday night.

Ordered twice. Got different portions and packaging both times? First time got a great amount of fries with the buffalo chicken wrap and the containers it was in was good. This time I got a smash burger and it had nothing but cheese on it and I got a handful of fries….. I also upgraded to truffle fries for $4 more…. Very disappointing.

Went to F & M with our son who said we would like it. He was correct! The cheese curd and spinach/artichoke dip appetizers were both delicious. My husband had the fish and chips and said they were the best he’s ever had. I had the C’ville salad and ate every bite of it. Wendy was our server and she is the best, very attentive and we wanted for nothing the whole time we were there. We will definitely be back, can’t believe it’s taken this long to go!!

i would have given this gem a 5 except for one minor hiccup. Hannah our server was excellent and very attentive. My wife and I stumbled on this gem while traveling in 74 from Indianapolis. We usually share meals so we ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap and a bowl of the soup Du Juor which was a creamy chicken vegetable with swiss cheese. Both were delicious. the reason for 1/2 less star was the soup was luke warm and not hot but was so good i didn’t want to. send it back for reheat. If you are passing by Crawfordsville, take the time to drive the 2 miles into town and enjoy a great meal.

Dinner 2 years ago was amazing. Both front of the house and chef came out to say thanks on the compliments. Now you can’t even get a steak cooked properly twice in 3 weeks or the same night. Let alone an owner to talk to. Manager, was nice but seriously?? How do you charge full price for a $50 meal when it wasn’t cooked properly twice the same night? We travel through quite a bit. Guess we’ll find other reliable restaurants in the area.
