Frank and Lola’s is an unconventional artisan taco shop located in historic downtown Denison. Our tacos showcase ingredient profiles that exude Hill Country-esque BBQ with old Mexico-influenced flavors. The smokehouses we use are loaded with locally sourced pecan wood and slow-smoked, high-quality meats. Our beverage selection includes a unique Bottoms Up draft system, domestic, imported and crafted cold beer, as well as other adult beverages, like froze and margaritas. The action of the kitchen is on full display through the industrial metal and glass-panel walls salvaged from a local airplane hangar, giving customers a sneak peek at the wood-fired grill used to impart a high-end yet primitive twist on our taco experience.

Food was much better than expected. Google Maps calls it a tex-mex restaurant. It’s a taco bar and then some. Their brisket a d sausage are a lot more flavorful then most and very tender. We had such a small sampling of their menu we have to go back for more. It really is that good.

We can with family/friends and it didn’t disappoint! Staff were friendly and spot on with their recommendations. Smoked pork belly was my absolute favorite!!! Wasn’t able to try their Asian duck or War Pig, but will be back for more. Tacos range from $4-$5/taco, salsa flight is great and love the chips!

We loved our chips and salsa flight. We equally enjoyed all the different salsas and the chips were fresh, seasoned perfectly. I got a brisket taco and my husband got a shrimp taco and a side of beans. Everything was outstanding. The tacos are big lol. I couldn’t finish mine, my husband happy to help me out. We will definitely be back.

My first time there and I was more than impressed. Clean and super cool atmosphere. Had the TV’s on so I got to watch the game while I ate, always a plus! The food looked so good I forgot to take pics because I dug right in – HA! The food was absolutely amazing! We had the salsa flight and that was super cool. I had a pork taco and a crispy chicken taco and both were delicious. I don’t live close but I will be back soon!
