We just landed and stumbled upon this place. Everything was freshly made and flavorful. This is an excellent start to our vacation and 20 minutes from the airport.

The service was amazing and so fast! Our server gave us incredible recommendations, and the food was simply delicious. I never thought I would enjoy a banana cream pie, but this one was just incredible with fresh bananas and the most delightful cream on top. I 120% recommend coming here for a lovely atmosphere, great service, and delicious food!

Chinese food…with an uncommon twist. Service was fast and friendly, not just at meal order taking, but with the same attention on entry, on leaving, and through out the meal. Atmosphere was TRENDY for such a historical place. The food was tasty, and MUST HAVE Banana Cream Pie!! All at a very affordable price. Valet parking right next door, even with arena events $10.

Long and narrow inside. Very nice staff, and good menu. Bar is well stocked. The food is good but not crazy or Asian fusion. Sampled multiple appetizers and entrees as well as my favorite sidecar drink. Was filled but did not feel anything special food taste wise. I say check it out.

Really cool restaurant with so much history! Was visiting Sacramento on business and had 1 night to spend in the city. I decided to try Frank Fat’s based on lots of blogs about best places to eat, and I got the two big things that everyone raved about: the Brandy Fried Chicken and the Banana Cream Pie. There is a reason the locals love this place! It was packed – bar seating only – on a WEDNESDAY! When a place is that busy, you know it’s good. The chicken was delicious! I would recommend getting it with something with veggies – something a little saucy. And the pie!!! If you’re like me, you don’t think pie when you are looking for a Chinese restaurant, but holy hell. It was love at first bite! I cannot recommend it enough! I live on the east coast, but I would gladly come back to Sacramento for this pie.

Came here for the first time with a friend for Happy Hour. The service was great and food tasted great. Complimentary slice of their banana cream pie was amazing.

The food was GREAT! Our server was polite and patient. One of our dishes was a little late to the table, but without saying anything, the server made up for it and gave our little one a few treats. It’s really no wonder this place has been around for so long, great service, great food, great people working there.

Honestly I was a bit underwhelmed. I ordered the cumin spiced lamb, and while the flavor was good, the meat was dry. My wife ordered the beef spare ribs and similar issue. On the other hand, my in-laws got the honey walnut shrimp and it was delicious.
