Frank Pepe knew in 1925 that only coal burns hot and dry and doesn’t give off steam like a wood fire. He knew that only a coal fire could give his “tomato pies” their famous crisp, charred, chewy crust.

This was one of the best pizzas I’ve had. The thin crust was baked to perfection. I noticed that some of the tables with larger pies had a bit of sog in the middle (possibly just due to steam), but the small pies we ordered were able to hold their shape well.

Not as authentic as Napoli, but very close! Can’t go wrong with a brick oven. Our pizza was delicious and they have Peroni on tap which is a nice touch from Italy. Our server was super friendly and always made himself available to serve us. Will definitely be back to try the other pizzas on the menu.

Pepe’s at Mohegan Sun was busy on an early Sunday afternoon. The wait in line was about 25 minutes and moved well. Service was very friendly… but it did take over 30 minutes to get a small white clam pizza after the order was taken. Foxon Park soda is served with tall glasses filled with ice. This is a nice touch. White clam pizza looked appealing and tasted pretty good. You can definitely taste the clams, garlic and cheese. All 3 tastes complement each other. Only downside to this pizza was the char… it was uneven across the whole pizza. One side had a nice char to it… while the other side had almost none at all and was soft. ?Did they forget to turn it? Location is clean and nice spot to grab a pizza of you are not in a hurry.

By far the closest to NewYork Pizza in Connecticut! Wow! The flavor, crunch and soft stretchy cheese was so delicious! We ate here on back to back days during our stay in Connecticut! I shall not be the last person to eat here… so please if you are in Mohegan Sun Frank Pepe’s Pizza must be a go too! Don’t miss out!

Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria is a great spot to grab a bite to eat while at Mohegan Sun. It can get a little busy, so be prepared to wait to get a table. They do offer takeout though. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. They do cook their pizza a special way, which some people may not like, but the wait staff does inform you of this prior to ordering a pizza to ensure you will be able to enjoy it. And the pizza was delicious! They have plenty of options and they can all be customized. At the end of the meal, they know you may not be able to keep your leftovers with you, so they offer to keep your leftovers at the restaurant and you can pick them up later that day. I will definitely come again next time I’m at Mohegan Sun!

Very fresh and very delicious. Honestly I think the Mohegan sun pepes is the best and better than the new haven location. Plus you can wander the casino, order online and just go grab it and continue your evening! Definitely a must have pizza when visiting New Haven and Connecticut!

Could’ve been awesome except the pizza was cold. When I called to place the order, the person on the phone said it’d be 30 minutes. When I showed up 20 minutes after placing the order, the pizza’s temperature was obviously not fresh out of the oven. It felt like it was ready 10 minutes earlier. The taste was great but crust ended up soggy due to it sitting there and temperature was just barely warm once I got it back to my room.

I can’t speak to if this as good as New Haven, I’ve never been, but after spending a couple of days suffering through Foxwoods putrid food offerings we decided to take a ride to Mohegan to get something to eat and this place did not disappoint!
