Passing through on business trip and could not pass up the chance to try one of the tops on my Pizza hit list!

Some friends recommended this restaurant to us and we are hooked. The dough and ingredients they use are top notch and the thickness of the crust was perfect. I’d weigh 500 pounds if I lived near this restaurant. If you like a thin slice with a bit of crunch you’ll be in heaven. We’re coming back here everytime we’re visiting Connecticut! I’m going to miss this place when I go back home.

Love the first come first served line out the front and the sheer number of people who come, order take-out and take their pizzas to the nearby park. We got there at 11:30 and were first in line after the opening crowd that got in at 11…

The Margarita pizza was unreal. You can taste how fresh the tomato sauce and the basil are. It definitely worth the hype. Call at least 25min ahead to place your order so that you don’t have to wait in the long line. The downside of ordering ahead is that its not fresh hot right out of the oven when you pickup. The clam pizza was a bit cold when we got it and so the crust was a bit too chewy and not crunchy.

This gem in Little Italy has the best pizza I have tried to date. Every component of this pie was fresh and delicious. We are still taking about our meal.

Loved it. We’re on a family vacation, and we looked up best pizza places ahead of time. This place made a bunch of national lists, so we tried it. Excellent. The sauce was different than we are used to, had a very unique taste. My wife raved about the pepperoni, my kids (all teens and early 20s) really enjoyed it, ranking with a lot of the other best pizza places we’ve visited in the past. 2 large pizzas of 6 people, barely any left at the end.

There is a good amount of seating compared to Sally’s, the decor is bright which is nice. It opens up the space. We were lucky that we arrived at a time when the line had died down. So we didn’t have long to wait for our pizza. We ordered to-go and could sit in the waiting area for it. While there, I enjoyed seeing the history of the shop with the old oven. I was able to purchase a souvenir shirt and had a nice chat with one of the employees while we waited. I ordered the Doppio Pepperoni + the Meatball and Ricotta pizza. I personally preferred the pepperoni out of the two. I went with the intent of comparing Frank Pepe’s and Sally’s. Sally’s red pie is hands down is my favorite out of all 4 pizzas of the pizzas I tied. Its just something about the sauce. Out of the white pizzas, I’d say the score equally. It will come down to what you prefer.

Was in town and never knew that New Haven was known for its pizzas. Got a couple recommendations from the Two Roads brewery team (should visit that brewery too if you’re reading this). Anyways got there a little before five so the restaurant wasn’t too busy. Pie took about 30 minutes to get and was worth the wait. Pictured is their “small” 12″ pizza which was bigger than that. Crust was perfect and ingredients were just the right amount. Highly recommend paying them a visit if you’re in the area!

Probably the best pizza I’ve ever had. So good. I have been to a couple other locations as well which are good but this one is incredible. Old school atmosphere. There was a long line outside but it moved quickly. Pizza was incredible. If I’m ever in New Haven again I’ll definitely be back.

Stopped for lunch on the way to drop off kids at camp. This place never disappoints, clam pizza and regular pizza amazing as always. Don’t be worried about the line it moves really fast. The service was great, at first we concerned that our pizza was taking a really long time, but our server in formed us that the pizza had a hole in it and they were making a new one, can’t be upset if they want it to be perfect. Highly recommend and worth the quick detour.
