I can’t begin to describe my experience. Welcoming. Delicious. Perfect. Never had it Italian food this fresh and flavorful in my life. I typed a whole story just now about my experience of each dish and the gelato and customer service and the amazing and sweet owner but it got deleted cause my phone died and I’m mad lol. I am so pleased. This was real Italian food. There’s no restaurant out here in Rochester with Italian like this. The bread was fantastic. Everything was fresh and cozy and just amazing! The table we had was beautiful and by a little bar and had a fireplace and mirror and it was just gorgeous and very homey. Thank you for this experience! I hope to come stuff my face there again really soon.

Was easily 5 stars a year ago. Unfortunately now that Frankie has retired his son has taken over. Subsequently the food quality has taken a dive in quality. Frankie’s food standard was far higher than this. As an example, the very popular Bailey’s Bread Pudding (A signature dessert dish) has been replaced by a microwave heated premade chocolate bread pudding. Ultimately the food quality is simply disappointing, and I believe that Frankie would be upset upon witnessing what i consumed this evening. Outside of the food however, the quality of the service is immaculate and the atmosphere is also rather “Italien”.

We were a party of 6. 3 out of the 4 kids ordered the spaghetti and meatball dinner. About 5 hours after dinner they all started puking and had diarrhea. It was definitely not the stomach bug because they all had the onset at the same time and all had the same meal. Not to mention we had all been camping together for 3 days prior to going out to eat here. Literally ruined the rest of our camping trip. I called the restaurant to inform them, not for a refund and of course they denied it. I have been in healthcare for 11 years. I know a disease verse contaminated food. Not to mention we had to ask for clean silverware cause food particles were dried up on some. We will never go back. Hopefully they educate the chef on proper cooking and food handling.

Waited 20 Minutes after being seated for a waitress to come to our table. We had a reservation made and when the waitress came, she brought us water and said she will be right back and then came back 10 minutes later. When I asked her what are the drink choices for kids’ drinks, she responded with a bad attitude and eye roll like it was a stupid comment. What a poor customer service experience. I could not believe it. We will not be returning or recommending anyone that would like a good customer service experience to dine here.

Julian and His Wife and Staff are Amazing People . I brought my Family of 6 to Frankie’s Tonight . We ordered appetizer The Greens Anthony was Amazing . We sat had some Drinks and next Came the Salads delicious, Then the entrees a Kids Meatball and Pasta, Chicken Alfredo, Veal Parm, Chicken Parm , and Seafood Pasta Dish with Scallops Shrimp Clams Mussels . Then for Desert one Coconut Gelato One Cherry Gelato A Canolli and Bread Pudding with Bailey Irish Cream Sauce

Congratulations Julian and Kendall, the new owners of Frankie’s!! The food was excellent! There is something for everyone on the menu with large portions so you won’t leave hungry! The Chicken Alfredo was the best I have ever had out at a restaurant and the rest of our group said the Riggies and the Pork Flat Iron were delicious!! The downstairs full bar/seating is open and gorgeous! They brought their staff from Keen Kitchen as well as kept Frankie’s staff which says a lot!! You can still get the homemade gelato too!! Can’t wait to return and we definitely recommend Frankie’s to anyone looking for somewhere great to eat in Old Forge!

The service was lack luster. We had a reservation set for the opening time of 5:00. Multiple guest without reservations were seated before us and that resulted in us having a hour wait for our meal. The appetizer we ordered was good. The salads we we got we mostly spring greens and onion. Lack luster salad but not bad. The icing on the cake was our meals. I ordered seafood diavlo pasta and my wife ordered manicotti. The portion of her manicotti was very small and honestly they looked awful. She was ok with at least eating it. My seafood was spoiled and smelled to high heaven. Rubbery and over cooked. It was plated horribly as well. Is was served in a deep dish and my spoiled shrimp, shell fish and scallops we indeed swimming. You couldn’t even see the linguini. Very poor plating skills. I sent the dish back to the kitchen immediately and did not reorder. I just made sure my wife enjoyed her meal. The house did refund my meal, but the chef shouldn’t not be putting out spoiled seafood. That could result us in dier results for the customer whom consumes it unaware. We will not be dinning here again. The owner change has definitely gone fore the worse of the restaurant. Avoid this venue. High priced and poor quality.
