Overall it tasted pretty good. The country ham was a bit on the extra salty side. The eggs were cooked perfectly the hash browns were nice and crunchy like I like them. Pretty basic country diner menu. Not a lot to choose from. The waitress was nice and attentive. My grandson ate all his omelette and said it was good.

Franklin Restaurant is a much different experience than it was several years ago. Food wasn’t horrible but our waitress was awful, over heard complaints from every table. The table ahead of us asked about the total of their bill and she asked them who took their order….. I watched her take their order not 25 minutes before. When our plates came one entrees was wrong, it seemed to blow her mind trying to understand what happened. We ordered a fried chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. It came out as a plain grilled chicken, just chicken on a bun. My mushroom Swiss burger was okay, patty looked handmade though cooked a bit pink internally, and the onion rings were very good. Food on the bar wasn’t bad either. Salad bar was fresh and they did a good job of keeping it stocked and flipped. Cole slaw, mac salad and potato salad appeared to be homemade. Pinto beans, greens and cornbread were good. Macaroni and cheese was a bit mushy and bland. Upon leaving there was a customer bellied up to the register counter eating his meal while yanking to the cashier.

We just got in from Illinois and decided to try Franklin’s . Lwst just say their eggs breakfast bar was horrid. Burnt biscuits, hard scrambled eggs, the sausage gravy had like 4 pieces of sausage in it, All gravy and it was horrible too. We do not recommend this place at all. The service was great and thankful she took care of our bill or we wouldnt have paid either way it was that bad

We stopped for breakfast while we were out riding, worse I’ve had in a long time. Corn beef hash was cold, pancakes were so hard on the edges I could not cut, you would need a saw.

We go for the fish platter, flounder or cat fish, shrimp, and clams. The cat fish is delicious. It is a quiet, family-friendly place to dine with no alcohol served and a Christian music station playing. Salad and hot bar are available with most meals. A good place to go with family and friends for a nice meal with quiet conversation.

Got the breakfast bar, the food was old and cold. Everything was bland. Didn’t have any bacon and sausage on the bar when we first got there. Once they added some it was about a pound of bacon so everyone was pretty much fighting over it. Coffee was watery. Definitely not worth the money. Probably won’t go back. The only good thing was the server was friendly.
