Good local family owned breakfast place. There’s going to be a wait if you come after 8:30AM but they do a good job of keeping things moving along speedily.

Excellent breakfast place. Hash and French toast were both particularly excellent. Also really good omelette with lots of filling.

Great little spot to have breakfast. The portions are large and the food is great.

Unfortunately our visit to Franklin Spa was not all that we thought it would be. Looking for a spot to have a quick birthday breakfast my group and I chose Franklin Spa since it happened to be the closest to where we were at the time. However, after ordering our drinks it took the waitress about 50minutes to an hour to come back with 2 coffees and a water (based on the time we ordered to when she reappeared). At this point we were about ready to get up and walk down the street to see if we could find another place to eat. However, we ultimately decided to stay, blaming the delay on the somewhat busy time. Yet, when we got our food we unfortunately found that much of what we ordered was under cooked. So to end, I will have to say I will not be returning to this establishment in Newport.

Unfortunately one of the worst breakfasts we have ever had. We went on a quiet Monday and were seated immediately. We got coffee, blueberry and banana buttermilk pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns. Everything tasted watered down and low quality. Coffee wasn’t good. The pancakes tasted like just water and flour, no taste to them at all, blueberries were frozen, burnt bacons were inedible, even our scrambled eggs tasted watered down. We are not coming back.

This is the local spot with a line out front. Nice people and great atmosphere. Typical menu of eggs benedict and omelets and other items as well as a list of specials.

I wish we found this place earlier in our trip. We would have went to breakfast everyday here. I don’t know if its Newports best kept secret, but I’m here to ruin that! GO TO FRANKLIN SPA! Great diner setting, great menu, great food. The Crab Cakes Benedict was the best I’ve ever had, and the chorizo omelette was packed with flavor. Don’t forget to get a side of hash, we like our CRISPY! 11/10

My family has been going here for breakfast for many years and it’s a top pick, in my opinion. If you like corn beef hash, try the Crow’s Nest benedict.

Food was good. More pricey than off season time though and had to pay for each add in like syrup. But nice American style foods
