So glad we found this place…. Fun, friendly waitstaff! They have a lot of FDR memorabilia to enjoy while you eat! Oh, and the food was great, too!

Honored to be the first person to leave a review. I was in town visiting and wanted to grab something to eat since I heard that they were now open.

Great food and close to home (: very friendly staff and beautiful quiet atmosphere. We tried the pancake plate and the grit bowl, both were amazing. Being in the middle of warm springs and the customer base being mostly elders i Would suggest adding a little salt and butter but that’s fair! Amazing amazing. They have live music on weekends and fairly cheap draft beer, $3.50 a drafts. Might be worth a look if your looking for a new bar.

First time at Franklin”s and was amazed by Judy. We were new to the area and she told us all the wonderful sights in town and served us with a smile and friendly attitude. We also meet the cook JJ. Shout out for those homemade French fries. If you are in town you have to stop in a see for your self.

I have been twice. Being locals, my wife and I were excited to see vegetarian options on the menu. On our first visit we went around 11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday with another couple. One of our friends ordered the pork chops and the other, gravy and biscuits. Our friends told us the pork chops were over cooked and tough and the gravy and biscuits had to be sent back because they were cold. When we asked about the vegetarian items, the wait staff did not seem to have a good understanding of the menu items and they were a bit inefficient. I personally attributed this to their only having been open for two weeks.

Wonderful jewel of a restaurant. Make sure you ask for blake he is absolutely wonderful waiter and can tell you the history of the place. If i had to choose 1 very small issue please bare in mind they r still working out the kinks. The grits need some flavor. A little bacon n or butter n salt. But otherwise excellent. Great decor music n great management.

The waitress was nice and did a fine job. The food was horrible. I didn’t know you could screw up pork chops and eats that bad. Would not recommend and I won’t be back.

My husband and I were looking forward to trying this new restaurant…we were extremely disappointed. We were seated and no one ever acknowledged us for a drink order. Several people who came in at the same time had been served drinks and one table had food. I regret waiting as long as we did. The servers working on this particular evening were extremely unprofessional, sloppy and seemed frustrated. There was a problem with the ice tea of some kind and the server went around taking tea from customers who had ordered tea, saying something about swapping it out ?? I had a nice view of the ice machine and drink station, from where I was seated.. everything happening there was major unsanitary. The parking lot in the back of the restaurant is a gravel mess. Drive your 4 wheel drive if you have one.

Took 1 hour to get a slaw dog & then when it finally came it was loaded with chili, large hunks of onions & the coleslaw was a spoonful of cabbage! Music was loud & jazz. Not appropriate for a restaurant like this! The only good think I can say is that it stays open past 4pm!
