Frank’s Place is a cool local spot. A very cheery atmosphere, the patrons are amazing. Great to come and watch a game, play trivia or sing karaoke. The Chef is amazing because the food is comfort food prepared with rockstar status. The service is a little slow at times. Overall a must visit in South Bend.

In town for the USC game, our Airbnb host suggested Frank’s for a diverse fun crowd. Immediately upon entering with our USC garb on, we were razzed with the appropriate amount of grief. That patrons were great and the staff couldn’t have been more hospitable. Thanks to Jazzamine, Michelle and Jessica for your outstanding service! We closed the place down two nights in a row, so you know we loved the experience. See you in two years for the USC game!

Best bar food in South Bend Frank’s Place is a enjoyable watering hole Nick & Frank great family business. Lowe & MaryAnn were 2 of the best behind the bar. They remember your drink of choice or introduce you to new pleasures with top shelf liquor. Then they would present the menu.

If I could zero, that’s what I’d rate it. I’m sitting in their parking lot writing this review. Before I could get both feet in the door, the bartender (Melissa) tells me “we’re closing early”. I’m here to pick up an order that was placed. There wasn’t an ounce of kindness in how she said it either. It was more like ‘get out’. When I explained that I was there to get an order, she seemed even more irritated. After that, I told her that her customer service skills were poor. She told me that she’s worked here for 10 years. I can’t believe people have dealt with this type of poor service for 10 years. I’ll never visit this place again. You’ve been warned.

Edit: This one hurts, as I am a reg here and Frank’s is pretty much the only bar I go to. Had to drop from five to three stars. Food, pricing, and neighborhood atmosphere are all still solid. Service is a big hit or miss. I recommend attending trivia on Mondays for your best experience.

Decent price for decent food. Had the bleu moon – Well seasoned and piping hot. Staff was good on my visit but could have been a little friendlier. Not my favorite but I’d stop in again. Will update with later visits.
