The food is REALLY GOOD, the atmosphere was homey and the service staff was awesome. I was $1.00 dollar short on cash to pay and was going to use my debit card but the cashier put up the dollar and refused to let me bring it back; she told me she was happy to do it and do not block her blessings. Truly appreciative of what she did and plan to go back. Everyone was friendly.

If I could leave no stars I would. My wife strictly asked for her chicken to be mild and not spicy only because of health reasons. It came out spicy anyway. She never ate it only a small bite to test it. When asked if they would take it off the ticket they said absolutely not. My wife is a waitress also and said that’s bad business. You order something specific and don’t get it that way after they say no problem and still charge you for it.

Visitimg from nebraska Local hot spot with food to die for!!! Catfish, shrimp, oysters, all delicious. Chicken was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Becca was an amazing host and very knowledgeable of her city.

The food was amazing and service excellent, as usual!! I decided to order something different and was so glad I did bc the fried chicken was so good and everyone else was happy with their orders! I occasionally have to wait a little longer for my order, but I normally wait to go bc I usually have a larger than normal order, but that’s anywhere I order food, so not actually a complaint, but just thought I’d put that out there.

Finally a cook worth kissing!!!!! When i tell you it was absolutely delicious. Ive been eating here for almost 20 years on and off and honestly it used to be hit or miss. So it really has been some years since we’ve gotten take out from here. This is my 3rd recent order and i have to give credit where its due. I would love to let the owner know that he’s got great cooks! I mean people who took pride in their work and waitresses who double check your order and get it just right. And from the order ticket, to the kitchen and then the bag, it was truly delicious. Finally someone who can fry chicken better than me and better than my mama. Now thats a true compliment. My new favorite place. They followed my order to the letter!

Cabbage was burnt…. stewed hen was dry!! Mac and cheese was horrible! Me and my husband expressed our thoughts to the waitress and she very nonshuluntly replied “sorry you didn’t like it”. I don’t think I will be going back! Because my first visit we had roast beef that was good….but I don’t like the attitude of it don’t matter whether I enjoyed it or not just pay for it!!
