Food is over-sauced, but delicious! The new BBQ beer-cheese pretzel steak burger was REALLY delicious! Note (that we were not informed about): when you’re order is ready, they will announce your number over the speaker, even outdoors. The frozen custard concretes were very good too! I got the key lime one and loved it, even more than any DQ blizzard. There is a 15% discount for active duty and veterans too.

It was an enjoyable visit to Freddy’s on the coralville strip. The double steak burger was great as usual. The chicken sandwich was good but slightly smaller than sandwiches from other places. I always love the shoestring fries. The staff was very nice and we felt like we were getting personal attention. As usual. The atmosphere left a little to be desired. It was not very busy when we arrived. However, many of the tables were dirty and still needed to be wiped down. The number of people increased after we arrived but still no one was wiping down tables. Other than that it was a good meal.

Item missing from order. Cheese curds were lightly warmed in the fryer, not fully fried. The onion on our burgers was a full slice which is inedible for a normal person. We had to take apart and reassemble our burgers.

First time here. Sooo many choices. Loved that. My daughter got cheese fries they were not stenchy with cheese at all like most places. The rest of us got burgers and fries. Great steam burger nice and thin meat with onion mustard and pickles. Fries had lots of seasoning which I was surprised for being shoestring fries nice and crispy. Definitely coming back for dessert later

Stopped here later in the afternoon on Saturday (4/1/23) after my daughter’s club volleyball tournament at the college. We were both impressed with the service we received at the counter, he was very polite and handled our order perfectly. He seemed happy to be there and it showed in his work, unfortunately I didn’t capture his name. But also impressed with our food and ice cream. We are from Illinois and had never heard of Freddy’s and so glad we stopped! Keep up the good work!

I didn’t like the fries, which were julienne style, and they fell all over my car, which we got take out, not dine in. The fry sauce wasn’t great. I’d appreciate a choice, of either honey mustard, sweet and sour, ranch, etc.
