I’ve been meaning to try a Freddy’s on one of my trips out west and finally did. The burgers are all double smash burgers, the flavor is delicious. The shoestring fries are just ok, we added cheese and there was a generous portion although they were barely warm. The ordering process was the most frustrating. I wanted a malt and kept getting offered a shake so that’s what I got. The shake was good with real berries in it. I’m not a big fan of double portions and would have liked any burger option in a single. The menu isn’t straightforward with options as I would have liked the shake/malt flavor options next to them, instead there is a weird1,2,3 option on the bottom that makes it look like only concrete mixer choices. I stared at that menu and couldn’t find a way for 2 people to eat lunch for under $30. This is fast food with table service prices. There is no “value” option unless you want a kid’s meal.

Dined at Freddy’s in Kearney, NE on our way from Iowa to Colorado. Now I’m not gonna tell you that dining at a Freddy’s would be considered 5-star cuisine, BUT… we were starved after driving since 6.30am, and this was just what we needed. (hence my 5-start rating.). Quality food at a reasonable price, in a clean atmosphere. We arrived just after the noon hour on a Tuesday, and ordered our meals (counter service) and was able to find an empty and clean booth near a window. My wife ordered a Bacon and cheese double steak burger with fries, and I got the same sandwich, only I got the onion rings (photo.)

My friend and I ordered drive thru around 10pm. we were the start of a small rush they had. we ordered 2 meals that were priced at 10.59 on the menu and opted for the add $2 to change the drink to a shake. somehow this made the total over $30. as we pulled up to get our food, the gal hastily handed us our food without saying a word, and slammed the window shut. i pulled forward and checked our meal and recipt. we had been charged for an extra fry and the rest of the recipt was full of corrections and made no sense. we went inside to get things corrected. both of the people were very rude, and prioritized everything else over us. the lady was unapologetic, treating us like we were a problem, and we received a refund of 3 dollars and some change. i asked for our shakes and was told “well you drove off before we could give them to you” (she was in the process of making our shakes as she said this, 10 – 15 minutes after we had ordered). . . all in all they were very rude, and acting far more busy than they really were (this was a 5 or 6 car rush). i likely will not return, as i dont want to pay my hard earned money to get something different than what i ordered, and get treated like my business is some sort of inconvenience to them. no thanks!

Its rather annoying when you pull up and are the only car in the drive through. As you pull up to the menu one worker ia slumped sitting against the dumpster and another is leaning against the door on their phone. Ordered 2 small ice creams. Pulled aroun and it took over 12 minutes from when swiped my card till they handed out to melting sticky ice creams. Again no cars in front of us.

Forgot fries at drive thru had to return to get them. Need better help to check orders. My food was cold by the time I came back to eat. Should have replaced all of it fresh not just fries. Really starting to believe customer service is a thing of the past!
