Iv always loved Fred’s since being a kid. My favorite as an adult is the sausage pizza. But it’s changed now. My table ordered the meat pizza and the meats all definitely tasted different. It was all salty. The sausage I was most dissatisfied with. Not the same! I’m grateful for waited table service now but we didn’t even get silverware. After getting our pizza we waited and waited for our waitress to come back but after several minutes I found someone cleaning tables and asked for silverware. The food did come timely but I didn’t like it at all.

I met friends here for a night out. We were shown to a table, given menus. Then we were moved to a new table, out of the blue. We hadn’t asked. Then they moved us again before our drinks arrived! It was an annoyance but not the end of the world.

I spent $60 and it was completely messed up. I ordered a pineapple and ham pizza and a pepperoni and banana pepper pizza, a large order of wings with original sauce and garlic knots. Both of the pizzas were half plain cheese and half the toppings I ordered, instead of the whole pizza being covered in the toppings ordered. The wings had no sauce. The only thing that was correct was the garlic knots. The lady that took my order didn’t even really know how to properly enter the order and had to request help. And of course by the time I got home and realized the issue, they were closed for the night. None of it is worth the money spent. I will not be ordering from this establishment ever again.

The restaurant was extremely cold. Several customers asked them to adjust the air because it was uncomfortable. They said they adjusted it, but it was still freezing in there. We asked for a box and brought our food home where we could eat comfortably. There was no need for the inside climate to be Antarctic temperatures.

Service was great. The food is a far cry from what Fred’s used to be. The bacon on the loaded fries was red. I’m not sure if it was imitation, or possibly perrpeoni, but it had the consistency of the red imitation bacon bits. The fries were soggy and burnt. My sandwich was supposed to have mayo and Italian dressing on it. No dressing just a ton of mayo. The best part of the meal was the appetizer.

I have never had a bad experience at Fred’s. I regularly order from the Portsmouth restaurant. Recently, I visited the Waverly restaurant more regularly than normal. Every now and then, I visit the Wheelersburg location. Every location has professional, polite staff, and their food is always amazing! The delivery staff in Portsmouth is top-notch and amazingly fast!!!

Usually like Freds but tonight was not one of the better nights. Food was ok, chicken alfredo tasted like frozen dried out patty with zero flavor. The plate looked like it had already been ate off of. Sub sandwich was soggy. breadsticks were good. Asked if we could use plastic silverware due to not having enough clean silverware. Most of the games were off or out of order. Womens bathroom had no soap or paper towels and was filthy! Yet 4 ladies were sitting by the hostess stand on their phones or talking! Must not be a manager working tonight! Will be some time before we eat there again!
