Heard the burgers were good, but they were GREAT. Actually some of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Nothing here we didnt like – the waffle fries were my favorite but also loved the regular fries and onion rings. This will be a new tradition spot to eat for lunch every time we come to Creede!

Great little side of the road General Store that also has a grill and ice cream shop. The food was off the charts tasty with a grease spoon kinda feel. The double cheese burger and beer batter fries were cooked to perfection! Highly recommend anytime you are visiting Creede.

The Freemon’s cheeseburger is the best in the San Juan Valley! I added the side of Green Chilies and it did not disappoint. Both style of fries are crispy and fresh, and the ice cream parlor is a perfect addition. It also comes with one of the best views in all of Colorado.

While spending a few day in Creede with the family, burgers at Freemon’s was something that came up several times with the locals. After having lunch here I can certainly agree with the local sentiment. If you’re passing through Creede or Lake City then definitely stop here. We were a bit early fir lunch (11:15ish) and just missed the crowd.

Hard to beat being surrounded by high country in the Upper Rio Grande Valley! Burgers are GREAT. Chocolate shake was good. People down home and pleasant. Food was worth the price. A great place to unwind after a hike, a float, after fishing, or just because you want to indulge!

If you drive past this place without stopping, you’ve made a mistake. The interior is interesting but a little dated, but the food and service more than make up for that. Grab one of their 1/3lb cheeseburgers with grilled onions and pickles and enjoy the fresh hand formed beef patties on a perfect bun. Ask for the waffle fries or the onion rings and a fountain drink and take a step back in time when people cared about serving great simple food for a fair country price. You can sit inside or outside on the covered porch but I recommend outside on a good day. Enjoy the lively chatter of happy diners as you dig into your delectable Freemon’s burger.

Even better than I remembered! I recently spent a night camping out with friends in the RGNF near Creede. Of course, since I was making the trip, I had to hit ALL the old spots with my first-timer friends. Freemon’s was a non-negotiable, obviously.
