The vegan fajita tamale plate was very good. The tamale was big and filling. They also have a Soyrizo and vegan cheese variety, but were out. The michelada was delicious and refreshing.

It’s hard to find a good tamale with the right masa consistency. These tamales were the best! Tasty and moist. My mom got the shrimp tacos and loved them. Both dishes were delicious and nicely plated. The place was very clean with a relaxing vibe. Will definitely eat here again!

I went with a group of people. The service personnel were happy to bring 2 of my friends their food at their table. 2 of my other friends were told that their food would be brought to them at the table as well. After some waiting, the staff went to the table again and in a passive aggressive tone, they told us that “you can actually pick up your food yourselves now”. We were confused so we went and did that. Like 10 minutes later, the same staff brought more food to our table for the first 2 of my friends so maybe the service level is different depending on who the customer is. I went to ask for water, and in the same passive aggressive tone, I was told I could get it myself. I think this should be better communicated from the staff rather than judging us for not knowing exactly how the service works. When I picked up my food, I found a long thick hair in my tamale. I think all the people I attended the restaurant, along with myself, will not attend this place again.

It’s hard to find healthy food late at night in Bellingham (and I’m saying this as someone who likes to go to sleep fairly early!), and Frelard ticks the boxes. Delicious, gluten-free, and a saviour after sunset yoga down at the park. Pickled veggies on the side are amazing too!

Chip strength is less than expected for the strong, stiff dips. Two members in our party, weak from a day’s toiling, plunged a chip into the dip only to have it break apart in their hand and drift away, turning to dust. Delicious, but would have enjoyed a heads up about the weak chips.

Super excited about this restaurant! My take out chicken mole and chicken verde tamales were beyond excellent! Full of flavor, delicious, fresh, moist, and a great bang for the buck. I will be going back again and again!! I highly recommend!
