My Wife and I wanted to hit this spot and see whats happening. The 1st thing I noticed when I opened the door was the LOUD MUSIC! Had me looking for a Dance Floor instead of nice spot to grab a bite to eat. The loud music took away from atmosphere which was cool in my opinion. We waited at the front for someone to decide who will seat us as there seemed to be some confusion within the staff. Regardless, we finally got seated and they provided the menu and some water. We decided on our meals and ordered a $21 Drink which in my opinion is outrageous especially if the quality (strength) of the drink didn’t match the price therefore i would not order another! Now to the food….because I love that Louisiana Style Cooking.

The owner of this restaurant ought to be ashamed. The prices of the drinks are $21+!!! The food is lukewarm, the sweet potato pie was store bought and served cold!!!! The pasta was $34! The chicken and shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. The outside decor of this restaurant will tell you everything about the food. DO NOT GO HERE! Any positive reviews must be from family members of the owner. Do not waste your money.

I visited The French Quarters in Richardson for the first time and had a wonder experience. The ambiance, customer service and food was definitely top tier. The food was very flavorful and cooked with lots of love. I ordered the catfish, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and greens. The food was served fast, fresh and hot. Definitely home cooked with a Cajun spin. The owner was very nice. He came out to introduce himself. Which is not normal for restaurant owners. He treat you like family, very welcoming. They really deliver a New Orleans style southern hospitality. I will definitely be returning. This is a place you must visit.

This restaurant accommodate one of my really close friends large birthday parties. The plating was nicely done, good music, friendly staff. I had a French 75 and my cocktail was made to perfection. The owner is a black man who is really personable! My favorite dish was the soul food egg rolls with the dipping sauce. I would definitely be back looking forward to trying some other dishes.

Where do I start. I went to dinner with some friends and I ordered the egg rolls which came out cold, I told the waitress and she understood and took them back to be warmed… like any other restaurant they’ll bring out a whole new plate but instead they popped them in the microwave and bought it back to me so I told them i did not want them anymore. Next I ordered the Lamb chops and garlic mashed potatoes $42 plus $14 for a side now the food was great but the Lamb chops look like they have been starving for months before being butchered they where the size of a new born baby’s hand and I’m not exaggerating at all then the server forgot our sides and was hard to find but over all the drinks were great and the vibe of the establishment was great.

I took my significant other for Father’s day, on the Saturday before. I made reservations, we did pass up the place a few times. We arrived at 8:48 instead of 8:30. There are only signs on the windows which are tinted very dark with gold writing. When we walked in we were seated right away. The Owner acknowledged Father’s by passing out free shots of liquor. Then service just fails from there. It took the waitress about 20-25 mins to come take our order. Once she came we ordered drinks, appetizer, and food. The waitress was also the bartender. The drinks were served about 10 mins later. But the fried deviled eggs she recommended took almost 45 mins. She came to the table to say let me check on your appetizer. Once she brought it out I asked how much longer for the food. She went to check and came back saying I’m sorry for the delay what shot of liquor would you like. I at this point was hungry and wanted to eat, not drink. She brought out one shot and I asked how much longer, she talked to the manager and came back to the table said 15 mins. Ok I’m going to give them 15 mins. Then I see the waitress bringing out plates to another group that sat way after us. I was looking forward to trying the lamb chops and the lobster tower. The drinks weren’t that good and the appetizer didn’t have much flavor. I hope the restaurant is able to get more staff. No one wants to wait over an hour for a meal. I was so disappointed, I left money for the drinks and appetizer and left. If you go look for dark tinted windows and be prepared for a wait.

Went to the location 6/16/2023. Had reservations for 8:30pm. There was no sign to inform you where the restaurant is located. After finding it, checked in for our reservation on time. Had to wait 15 – 20 minutes before we were seated. Drink menu expensive; every drink was $21.00. Restaurant was operating on short staff. Did not know this information until after we ordered our food. Waiting for 1 hour 15 minutes before we were served. Another party was there for 2 hours and still did not get their food. The young lady complained about the issue to the point where the manager threatened to call the police. The manager never came by out table to let us know the staffing situation, ask if we were ok, comp us for the delay, nothing. Spoke with the waitress about getting a discount for the delay. Stated her manager said no. Only thing we were given for free was 2 slices of cheesecake. Lol, horrible!!! Why continue taking reservations and seating people when the store knew they were short on cooks? Overpriced and over-rated!!!!! First and last time going!!!!

I don’t usually write reviews, but as a foodie, I felt inclined. My boyfriend and I spend quite a bit on “fine dining on a weekly basis” and this was not it. I was there with a large group for a friends birthday. The calamari was terrible. They brought out each person’s food one at a time over a 45 minute period. 2 people were served raw chicken. They charge $21 for a cocktail that was literally just juice. Happy to pay for a cocktail when there is actually some mixology involved. You can’t ask people to pay top dollar when the service is terrible and the food isn’t good. The manager never came over to apologize or try to offer a solution. I feel bad for the waiter because it was not his fault. I try to dine at black owned restaurants but we continue to let our people down. They need to hire someone who knows how to run a restaurant.

We had reservations for 8:30 we were seated right away. Took awhile for our waiter to come but he was nice. We ordered right away it took an hour and a half for our food. I had chicken pasta my husband had another pasta mines was 29 dollars his was 42. When I say my pasta was ice cold and my husband was Luke warm. He just ate his I send mine back he say he would put it in the warmer to heat it up.The atmosphere was nice but food apparently is not the main focus. They automatically added 10% no matter how bad or good the service is. I would not recommend.we paid 93 dollars for cold food and leftover I feed to my dogs.

French Quarter is very beautiful inside and the food is tasty, pricey, yet tasty and I do not mind paying for GOOD FOOD. The atmosphere is fun and vibrant but the music can be too loud and sometimes vulgar. That’s a turn-off! I have been twice and look forward to going back. However, on a Sunday I would love to just enjoy a nice groove and environment without the nightclub music blasting while I brunch with my mature social groups who have to scream over the music to converse. Word to the wise. Listen to your customer’s feedback that is what will keep your doors open for the next 7 years plus. Best of luck to you!
