I didn’t know Chinese food could taste this bad, but it did. The pork dumplings were weird and thick on the outside (not the typical dumplings), some kind of sausage on the inside. The cashew chicken and Kung pao were bland, and smelled off. The mushrooms came from a can. The fried rice was bizarre, over boiled, then maybe an attempt to fry ? Took a few bites and we tossed our dinners in the garbage.

Just moved to the area about a year ago, looking for a good chinese restaurant, this place is hit or miss, orderrd out about 10 times and half of those times my order was always missing something! We called and told them that this happens often, the woman told us we should go somewhere else! Wow really? Food is good most of the time but like i daid hit or miss,

I’m not generally picky about Chinese food, but this is exceptionally bad. It was dripping in soy sauce and I think that’s the only seasoning they use. Yes, I understand that everything is cooked with soy sauce, but bathed in it is different. The chicken wasn’t tender and I kept getting pieces of bone or something in my bites. The spring roll was really good but it just tasted like one I could’ve picked up from the local grocery store. My husband enjoyed his lo mein. I won’t go back. $15 for one combo with hardly any rice and one spring roll as the sides and subpar chicken and broccoli, disappointing.

I was charged more than the prices on the menu that is on the front of their counter and couldn’t the owner couldn’t understand why I was questioning her on it. She told me that the menu is outdated three years and due to COVID she had to increase prices. When I tried to explain that I agreed to pay the price that was on the menu she got very upset. Her failure to update her prices is not the customers responsibility. If I treated in my customers like this I wouldn’t have any!

Absolutely appalled. I called an order in for someone else who is local to the restaurant to buy them dinner. The woman who answered the phone was polite and said to wait a minute. Someone else picked up and was incredibly short and rude. After asking “What do you want?” I stated the order. Before I could continue speaking she said “15 or 20 minutes” and hung up. I called back to pay using card over the phone and she said she couldn’t do so. I asked “You guys don’t take credit cards?” and she said they did, but not over the phone. I asked why and she said “Because that’s what my manager is telling me”. Who knows how the food is, as they wouldn’t accept payment for the order.

My boyfriend and I ordered food from here tonight when we got home we noticed 2 of our three orders were messed up. I asked for boneless spare ribs in my order and got an egg roll. My boyfriend ordered coconut chicken and got coconut tofu. When we called to explain the order was wrong they told us we got what we order. When I ordered I said T6 coconut chicken which the menu we were looking at that was the number. They proceeded to tell us we were wrong. Good customer service the customer is always right. They offered to make him the new one yet we live 25 mins away it’s not worth the drive back. They never offered a refund for his meal or anything just we will make it. Then they hung up on my boyfriends mom when she called to tell them the order was wrong and they hung up on her. Even though she was nice about the whole conversation she just said that we would not be doing business with them again, and they told her when she called back again that they don’t like being spoken to that way. No one was rude to them. Don’t recommend ordering food from here because if your orders wrong forget it.

Ever since closing down a couple of years ago and then later reopening under the new name of Fresh Ginger “Fusion,” the food has been terrible! The portion sizes are now significantly smaller than they previously were and the food is not nearly as fresh. I ordered the beef and vegetable platter and I think there were 3 whole pieces of beef in the entire thing. Their prices have also gone way up from what they were a few years ago. I’m fairly certain that they are under new ownership, who has thoroughly destroyed what was once an excellent establishment where you used to be able to get a massive amount of great food for a low price. We used to eat here all the time, sometimes as often as twice a month, but not anymore. Shame on whoever is running this place now. Greed and cutting costs have clearly become a priority, even if it means sacrificing quality. Frankly, I don’t see how they even stay in business with the way things are. None of the recent reviews are good! Sadly, the options for GOOD Asian cuisine in the Bangor area are greatly dwindling and leave a lot to be desired.

Rating 5 stars as I may be a little biased since I work here, but I’m going to attempt to justify people’s bad reviews. First off, the owners changed a little over a year ago, so most of the reviews on here from 1 or 2 years ago are for the old, original ‘Fresh Ginger’ and most likely don’t apply to us now. For people claiming we have an unclean kitchen, we actually have a very clean kitchen. I myself have worked in other kitchens before and heard stories of other kitchens that are unclean, and Fresh Ginger Fusion is not one of them. We actually clean the kitchen and equipment every night. Second, we do have our lunch combos back! We got feedback from a lot of people and switched from lunch combos to dinner combos (as we’re only open from 3pm to 9pm) and they have been a hit. Third, if you drive by and the parking lot is ‘dead,’ it’s either because we are almost exclusively a takeout place (with the option to eat in,) or because you’re driving by before 3pm. Lastly, we were actually voted best Chinese food in the greater Bangor area, so I personally don’t understand how people can’t like it.. I love it! And please, remember that mistakes do happen occasionally, but we always strive to fix things and make our customers happy. So call us up and order some of the best Chinese food around!
