located on River just off 8th Street in downtown Holland ,Fricano’s furnishes some serious nostalgia. Walking in, I felt like I was in a pleasant time warp! They serve RC cola! The interior is quite plain, but the atmosphere and staff are warm and friendly. Our waitress was super sweet and cute. The menu includes only a few options, making ordering easy! The pizza is absolutely delicious, and unlike any pizza I’ve ever had before. Ultra thin crust, crispy, well done, and YUMMY! I am looking forward to visiting again and sitting at the bar.

We went in after spending the day in Holland, Michigan. We were promptly and kindly greeted and seated. The staff was very friendly to our young boys. We asked for a menu but they don’t have menus. They serve one size pizza and offer only five toppings to choose from. They don’t take credit or debit cards…so basically it’s cash only. We ordered a pizza and it was wonderful. It’s on a thin, crispy crust, and the toppings tasted fabulous. Our total order including a beer on tap and drinks for all was only 25.00. I candidly thought it would be significantly higher. Overall it felt like this pizza place was a step back in time when things in life were a little simpler. A few upgrades with the atmosphere and certainly the acceptance of credit cards with a few additional options on an actual menu would be a huge plus! This pizza place could easily command significantly higher prices…and I’d gladly pay them. We’ll certainly be back when we visit Holland in the future.

This is one of 3 or 4 Fricano’s Pizza joints, throughout the state. It started in Grand Haven, back in the ’50’s and that place is still going as well. I love going there since the decor hasn’t changed one iota since the ’50’s! It’s thin crust, greasy pizza but fans love it – at any location. BEWARE that they don’t take bank or credit cards, even still! It’s a cash or check operation!

Mediocre but it was good for my appetite at the time. It is pizza after all. Very old fashioned. No menu. No dipping sauces (I was told ranch was for bad pizza) too bad the pizza wasn’t that good.asked for a box and got two paper plates and a bag that got grease all over it

Wow, what kind of poor soul could ever in their life question this place? This is not Little Caesars, not artisanal hipster pizza. This is the exact kind of pizza you only find by word of mouth. I cannot compare it to any other style other than Fricanos. Cash only, awesome. 5 toppings, no problem. One size, perfect. We crushed half of ours, everything but anchovies. Even had the remaining slices cold the next morning. If you are questioning if it’s worth it, stop, it totally is.

I gave this 3 stars for the service, not the pizza! This business only takes CASH! That’s fine if they inform you of that when placing an order. I found out when I walked in. They refer you to the ATM at the door. The service fee is a total of $5.75 to get cash to pay for your food. It’s totally unacceptable for a business to not accept a credit or debit card. Or to at least notify customers who call in to order a pizza!

Definitely something you have to have a taste for. No ham, no onions, very thin crust, VERY greasy. Not my kind of pizza but obviously lots of people love it. I won’t be going back.
