Better late than never, took this photo right before Rutgers closed for the pandemic back in 2020. It was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The friends cafe that served Korean cuisine is truly missed. From the wraps, to the noodles and bowls the food was solid all around and was just great and so affordable. Wish you guys would come back

Nice cozy place with friendly staff. The two older people(maybe the owners?) are always nice to me and go out of their way to accommodate the customers. One of them brought out snacks she baked and gave them to me unexpectedly, free of charge.

I’ve been hearing about this spot for years but I have just recently tried the food. I got chicken udon soup and fried vegetable dumplings. Both were fresh and very tasty and I’m looking forward to trying more.

Friend’s Cafe is a very pleasant location for some delicious home style cooked Korean and American dishes. Their staff is just wonderful, making the atmosphere so enjoyable and conducive to trying new things. I’ve been coming back to it for lunch with my classmate for the past at least four years, and they’ve all been just wonderful times and memories.

Me and my wife walked in and it reeked of some strong chemical. There was a lady there on the phone having a ratchet conversation talking about,”Your mother trifling.” No one said hello or greeted us. We asked to see menus…. no one said anything… so we walked out. We try our best to frequent establishments ran by POC however this was just unacceptable.

Went there on a rainy day to grab myself a bowl of ramen. Was not disappointed. Premium ingredients along with a friendly staff made it a delightful experience. I also got a side of wings which were flavorful and juicy. Portions were generous. Try this place out, you’ll leave happy and full.

Yesssss. My friend and I are from out of town and were wandering, looking for a place to relax and grab some good food. We came to the Friend’s cafe, just as the owner was beginning to close, yet he welcomed us in any way. He created two delicious dishes in no time flat, was friendly and entertaining and provided excellent service over all. The dishes he served were well flavored and very filling. I thoroughly encourage folks to come check it out, good stuff!

I’ve been on campus for a long time (20 years) and this Friends is the best iteration of the place. Kind and helpful staff, who recommended the spicy bibimbap and it did not disappoint. I had to go back again and will be heading back more often for this dish. So good!

I use to love going here but not anymore. The service is slow. I waited 50 minutes for a burger and fries. Last time I waited 30 minutes and thought maybe it was just busy. 50 minutes for a burger is ridiculous.
