Fritanga Airport may not win any awards for its ambiance or service but don’t let that deter you. Their food is amazing and their daily specials are rediculously affordable. This is a definitely a dive worth exploring.

Just don’t eat the decor. Stick with the food! Tasty, good price. More then I can eat. It’s strange that they would charge more when I wanted to exclude some of the sides.

It’s a simple restaurant located close to the Miami Airport, the food i tried was good, carne asada con congris. Was good and portions enough for two people. Customer service is good and have different options for your taste. It’s not a buffet restaurant, but you can do your plate as you wish. Food is served in a polystyrene container, so you can eat there or take out. Desserts and sdas are available.

First time and likely last time. I’ve had dozens of fritanga spots throughout dade. I’ve drove by several times times and decided to try it out. Unfortunately, it’s the weakest fritanga I ever had.

The food is amazing and affordable. The ladies upfront were very patient and friendly. I came from Tampa for the weekend and wanted some authentic Nicaraguan food, definitely this was the perfect place to go.

Gallo pinto, carne asada with jalapeno, maduros, queso frito. Everything here so hot and fresh and good. Come in hungry, leave full.

Great food at a great price. I’d highly recommend the carne asada with Gallo pinto (beans and rice) and sweet plantains. The red sauce has a good flavor with some spice in it. The entire meal was only $9 and I was very full after. Definitely tasted like authentic Nicaraguan food.

I used to love this place when it was called Monimbo. I guess there’s new management in place and the carne asada I had today was not good. The are lots of other choices in the menu but carne asada is my favorite. I was very disappointed as it tasted like old meat that was reheated. The gallo pinto was good but the plantain chips were cold and grease showed through the brown paper bag it was served in so it is not fresh either. service was fast and friendly. Not a great experience for sure and I probably won’t try this place again in a long time 🙁
