We stopped with friends one evening for prime rib. Worst experience ever. My husband’s prime was cold with actual ice crystals. It had been frozen and only partially thawed before serving. So much for a meal with fresh food prepared to your liking. We left and have never nor will we ever return.

Five stars. Wisconsin northwoods drinking and dining at its finest. A top notch revived old-school bar with modern flair. Country supper club/ tavern style. This from a local. The owner had done an impeccable job of representing what we do here.

Not sure whats going with this place. Weird hours and its up for sale again. I ate here once and food was average. The people at and behind the bar had a staring problem and made us feel uncomfortable. Not stopping here again.

I live locally and have been to The Frog Hop a few times, mostly sitting in the dining room and on our last visit sitting in the bar. We specifically sat in the bar because during our last visits one of the waitress was nodding out during service and my 11 year old asked why that woman is falling asleep while standing. This time we sat in the bar, because the food is really good and we wanted a better experience, but the manager/bartender was extremely rude. We fully intended on spending the evening at The Frog Hop but got sandwiches to go instead. The food and environment is great, staff makes it unpleasant.

Honestly have had some of the best and now worst food and wait there. Wasn’t as busy as I have eaten before with way better service. Arrived at 715 got to table quick and ordered relatively fast and then the wait came. At 830 we finally received our food in to go containers since we had our child with and after that long of sit it was impossible to eat there. Got home food was still warm but was like eating plain oatmeal zero flavor or seasoning.

The owner was very nice, the food was great and priced well. Ive been here a few times to eat and it was good every time. Plenty of room in the restaurant or you can pull up a seat at the bar. Daily specials and bar games.

We stopped in for a beer and something to eat. The bartender was friendly but we had some knuckleheads sitting at the bar talking politics like someone cared to hear what they had to say. Bartender handled it well, I don’t think he agreed with them but had the class not to comment.
