After hearing great things about the seafood there, all local/ Louisiana seafood, I decided to try for myself. Sorry to report, not so good. I had shrimp and catfish dinner. The shrimp were tasteless. The catfish was cut into very small chunks … smaller than the shrimp… and were dark colored and muddy tasting.

This was an interesting stop, but a good one. We came through not long after the last Hurricane’s had hit and nearly missed the place because the Hurricane took out their sign. Happy we were able to find it and stop though, ended up being a really solid lunch.

I’ve been coming here since I was a little bitty kid, I am now 33. Still the same as I remembered. Still amazing quality, fresh, hot food, very clean. Brought back so many wonderful memories of when I’d go there with my Mawmaws Rose Frostop in La Place is a gem!!!!!
