Very stylish, delicious Japanese restaurant. Mocktail was thick but good. Hibachi, sushi sashimi lunch combo, and the fancy salmon roll were all very fresh and delicious. Miso soup and salad we got with our entrees were also very good. Bathrooms are clean, spacious, and chic. Definitely will be back when I want sushi next!

The area feels unassuming as it’s next to a party city and a vet’s office but this restaurant is anything but that! You walk in and it feels relaxing, there’s murals and art on the walls mimicing the earth and the ocean with gold, blacks, blues, and whites. We came in at an off hour so there was open seating but it is a smaller size spot so I would expect dinner rush to be more packed. Myself and guest ordered 4 rolls to share and we got the Komodo Dragon, Golden lobster, Dynamite, and the Godzilla rolls. They came out beautifully and the Komodo Dragon has a fire aspect that was unexpected and nice surprise. My favorite roll was the Golden Lobster, so good!!! And eel is usually my favorite thing so what a surprise how good that roll was. The Komodo Dragon was my 2nd favorite (love eel). The Dynamite and Godzilla rolls were also good but that Golden lobster roll was the star for me. I also got the miso soup as and it was yummy! They gave out free edamame when we seated which was a nice surprise as well. Our servers were attentive and made sure we had an enjoyable evening so it was a good visit.

What initially appears to be a generic small restaurant at a strip mall became a pleasant surprise after my first visit! They offers a wide range of selection of sushi and appetizers, all the way from expensive options like wagyu to cheaper options like agedashi tofus. The selections are all priced well, which is a rare sight in a lot of these Asian restaurants that are popping up recently. The sushi deluxe and the sashimi deluxe were very well made with very good selections of fish, and they are presented beautifully. If you are a sashimi lover like me, this place is a must try in the NOVA area!

Today I stopped by this restaurant and ordered the lunch menu, cooked sushi along with two side dishes miso soup with house salad. The food was super delicious!! The sushi’s was fresh and the salad sauce seems special. It’s seem like they created their own sauce which is very tasty as well. The owner is very kind and nice. The restaurant is clean with elegant decorations.I work very close by and I’ll definitely come back often to try all the food they have on the menu if I get the chance. Also, the price is very reasonable! You guys should try this place. Thank you the owner for coming up with the great idea of opening the “Fujisan Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar” in this area!
