Food is good. I went last year to eat sushi to celebrate a good year. Not allergy friendly if you have a shellfish allergy. It is to be expected in a sushi restaurant and it’s not their fault my friends have allergies. Just a gentle heads up for those who are allergic to shelfish &/or molluscs.

I do not recommend to try this place if you really like sushi. The rice was under cooked . My husband did not let me to complain to the chef. I hoped that the chef should try the rice before making sushi. I will never come back here. Now I understand why they did not have good reviews.

Took trip back to SD and wanted sushi. someone recommended this place with the server named Lyly. She was the best, made sure my dinner party was more than happy with everything. Very attentive to all her tables while still handling takeout and the bar. I gotta say she’s great! Thank you Lyly youre a 1 in a million and we’ll be back for sure!! And I have recommended you to everyone. Oh ya and the food taste delicious!!

Friendly chef, prompt service, simple but modern decor. In addition to the standard sushi offerings, there are unique rolls on the menu. The wildcat roll was fun with salmon, avocado, siracha and jalapenos to give it a hefty kick. The salmon had a very slight hint of “fishiness” but it wasn’t bad and the spices offset it. The veggie roll would have been better with some pickled vegetables in it, but a little soy sauce and wasabi helped add some depth and flavor to it. Menu also includes cooked dishes, including some that are different from what you typically find in San Diego sushi restaurants. I tried the teriyaki chicken bowl, and it was great. Lots of fresh veggies with just enough teriyaki sauce to give it some flavor while allowing the natural flavors of the chicken and veggies to shine through. A bit pricey for lunch, but you sort of have to expect that downtown. Will definitely come back and check out some of the other interesting things on the menu.

I can understand the rating now. Went in to get a job. The head chef is cool maybe a bit serious. But when he ask the sushi chef to train me. Dude gave him a look as if he had no desire to help. Immediate bad vibes. Through me off my game. I acted like I didn’t know how to roll sushi after that so I can get on. Maybe the food don’t taste good cus whoever cooking it got no love for it.

One of my favorite new sushi restaurants in San Diego! Everything was made to perfection, service was quick and and the environment is very relaxing. Highly recommend the Chirashi bowl, and the Wake and Bake roll. Will be returning 10/10

Ordered buy one get one free. Got charged double for all orders. Expressly said soy paper no kelp or seaweed. All wrapped in seaweed. Now I’ve spent 90$. Still have hungry family and the restaurant won’t answer their phone.
