A truly feel-good place with first rate comfort food! I had a hogie called the barnyard. It has pulled pork, smoked brisket and smoked chicken, cole slaw and cheddar cheese. An amazing experience. It came with fresh cut fries that are very similar to ones we used to get on the boardwalk in Ocean City New Jersey. Greasy, salty, hot and crisp! My buddy Tony got a deep fried chicken breast he said was really good. For dessert, I had a deep fried, apple filled crepe with vanilla ice cream, covered with caramel sauce. I shared it with my wife, and took half my sandwich home. You’d be hard pressed to eat one of those in a single sitting. Do yourself a favor and stop by this place!

We literally waited two hours for a lunch and It wasn’t that crowded. I ordered a Thai chicken crepe which was not very flavorful or noteworthy. I had a few of my friend’s hand cut French fries which were good. Although the crepes were huge they weren’t very tasty. There was a strong smell of grease in the air which permeated our clothing and hair. Even though the prices were low, the waitress said they only take cash. It was very disappointing. It was the second WBOY restaurant road trip suggestion that was not good.

The food is delicious, and you get a lot for a small price. I have one issue, the atmosphere. There’s a man, I think the owner, that works there and he always yells at his daughter usually. The first time I went he said,” Go wait on the car, you can’t do anything right!” I hate the way it makes me feel. My family would agree. So if you want to try their food, just get takeout.

I was excited today to support this local kitchen that I had heard so much about. Sad to say I won’t be going back. SO much going for it…QUALITY, QUANTITY and PRICE cannot be beat! However, I just am not willing to wait over an hour for my food. And little things like, when our food finally was placed in front of us the server left…wiout providing silverware! We had to ask twice for them to bring it. It took over 2 hours before we were out of there. I fear with this problem they will sadly not last long as a business.

I would be interested to see if anyone supporting this place knows the true story behind the owners. Like how they were basically run out of Philadelphia with lawsuits because scumbag Matt Schwartz stole money from his employees, didn’t pay building rents and more. Bounced checks, tips not paid out, etc. We showed up to work one day with a sign on the door that it was closed. Then Matt went radio silent into hiding. Needless to say, I, and many others, never got paid. Don’t be fooled by the “generosity” of this “wholesome” place. Matt Schwartz is a selfish slim ball. If you eat here, be cautious. If you work here, jump ship.

What a dump. The owners were arrested for stealing a truck. They didnt pay the employees and on top of the disgusting food they had warrants for their arrest. The health department just gave them 12 violations. Go back to Pennsylvania you low lifes!
