We enjoyed this Izakaya. We especially enjoyed the Miso Soup, fried chicken, mushroom dishes, agedashi tofu and I really enjoyed the fried shrimp. This has been bookmarked for the future!

Tried the wings, chicken, fried tofu, French fries, and miso soup. They were all amazing. The pork cutlet was tender and the breading was perfectly crispy. Fries were gone in 2 minutes flat.

Decided to come here for dinner because wife and baby were hangry. It was empty at about 6pm and asked if they were open. One of the worker said yes, and sat us down promptly. Then for some reason it got super awkward. Let me explain.

Came in with my parents on a Sunday night, not really packed but definitely a little busy. There was only one server and her service is 11/10, very attentive and handling each table on her own with the help of the chefs when she’s too busy. The food was also amazing, small in portions but I didn’t mind as I gave me room to try the other dishes. I wish I discovered this place sooner. However I did think the spiciness of the chicken could go up as the spicy we ordered wasn’t exactly spicy, but I’m not complaining cause it was good either way. Definitely worth the 40 min drive and definitely coming back 😀

FuRaiBo Izakaya is just down the street from South Coast Plaza and if you haven’t experienced their food, you most certainly are missing out. A staple in Santa Monica with a location in Orange County is a must experience of flavors. Perfect for lunch and dinner any day of the week. Dine in and the same time make sure you do not forget to take an order of their tasty chicken wings to go!

Amazing food! Small plates, fair price and are super delicate and flavorful. Unlike other places like this you do fill up here – won’t leave hungry. Loved the dishes I got! Favorite ones are fried fish with tofu and cheese, and ground pork over rice. Highly recommended!

Thisplace is famous for their chicken wings, but their other items were fantastic too! We had the agedashi tofu, baby shrimp (shiba ebi), and grilled eggplant. The chicken wings are not your typical buffalo wings, but rather naked with no batter. They still achieve a crispy outer texture, and there’s plenty of flavor. I ordered extra spicy and it wasn’t too spicy at all, the spice they use is white pepper. Agedashi tofu had this gooey and crispy outside and is soaked in this flavorful, sweet broth. Great meal, definitely coming back to try the chicken thighs!

Their specialty is a fried chicken and I admit I was skeptical at first. But it was amazing (not really spicy at all though) – very flavorful, definitely worth trying out!
