The staff are very nice but the pizza I ordered needs improvement. It was undercooked (thick by nature so the cheese was undercooked) and way too oily and under flavored (needs garlic, salt etc a lot). The oil was very heavy and the cheese tasted slightly strong. I’m just being honest because I’d love for them to improve and order there regular but those 3 things need improvement and if they do I’d be happy to revise this review! The 3 stars relates to the service being great, but the food was 2 in my opinion.

Everyone raves about the eggplant parmigiana….they aren’t wrong. It is delicious. One surprise is that the side of pasta was cooked al dente….not usually the case in a pizza place.

To start, we called to ensure that the hours were correct. To say that their phone etiquette was not good is understated. But that did not deter the Pizza Hunters App while looking for the Best Slice of Pizza. First impressions that the place did not look clean. The glass had hand prints everywhere. The 12 tables in the place had large numbers above each table which really lessened the look. The garbage can had 3 whole pizzas in it from pies that were clearly over cooked. We finally placed our order and the man behind the counter was not friendly. The phone rings and we got to listen to an apparent customer who was not happy about their order, and we didn’t even get our slices yet. The experience matched the pizza slice. Not very good. Basically no sauce on the slice with no form to the crust which was doey and wet. Another pizza parlor that just takes your money with no communication. Did you enjoy your pizza? Have you been here before? Hello, Thank You and come again are all suggested ways to potentially communicate with your customers. This may be a a good slice of pizza to service the local community , but this is not even on the radar in 2019 for the Best NJ Slice.

Pizza was delivered cold, under cooked and looking like this. I asked for a refund but the nephew said he did not know what to do and would have the owner call me. Waited over an hour for phone call back. My 3 yr old son, mother and myself were starving so we ate the pizza

Soo I ordered it was open memorial day. Soo that was food pizzza was ok… took a bit but that’s pizza.. I Usually order from davilas .. this place there crust is softer and bigger..I do like crust soo its all good

I have ordered from Gabbys since I moved to Hackettstown in 2019. From start to Finish, Service with a Smile. I have ordered many items on their Vast Menu. The Portions are Generous, Fresh and Always Delicious – whether it be an Appetizer, Hot Sub, Pizza. Quesadilla, Calzone, Hot Dinner or fresh Salad and Veggies. Ordered pizza for the first time from here. Food was delivered hot, plain pizza was good. The Buffalo chicken pizza comes with red sauce on it. It is not listed anywhere on their online menu that it does. So for those people who don’t like red sauce and love Buffalo chicken pizza make sure to ask for it without red sauce. I did not think I would have to because I have never ordered a Buffalo chicken pizza that has also come with red sauce on it.
