I was referred to Gabe’s for a good bite on the way to a mid-morning round of golf. Hailed as an excellent establishment….Unfortunately, this was not the case.

Overall it was good and average..no complaints, service was quick on a busy Saturday morning, just nothing had a wow factor. My only thought about the food was I found the pancake to have an odd texture. I love a good pancake and all kinds of pancakes and this one made me wonder why it was so dense.

My husband and I really enjoy going to Gabe’s Cafe for breakfast. Today we rode our bikes to breakfast. We arrived at 9:30am and there was not a wait for a table outside. Our server was bright and cheery with a helpful attitude. I ordered the half order of huevos rancheros, and my husband ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. Everything was delicious! I ordered my egg over medium and it was perfect. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to a breakfast joint and the egg is overcooked when I ask for it over medium. This egg was perfect and situated on top of a corn tortilla with beans, grated cheddar cheese, and green chili sauce. It was served with hash browns that had just the right amount of crisp. Our server was great and refilled my coffee several times, as well as my husband’s Coke. He liked his biscuits and gravy. By the time we finished there was a wait to get a table. We’re lucky to have Gabe’s Cafe in our backyard.

This little cafe offers an upbeat atmosphere. The service was prompt and friendly. The portions are generous, especially for the price. Breakfast was great!

Nice atmosphere and the food was great. I got the Mushroom Swiss with fries and that was amazing and not super greasy either. Also had their pecan pie which in my opinion was the best one I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this gem.

Great little home town brunch stop. I have tried most of the menu and everything has been very tasty. Often times it’s hard to decide what to order because it’s all good but the Devils Huevos Rancheros is probably my favorite.

What a great find. We live in Arvada, but have family in Ft Lupton and East Thornton. Gabe’s is where we meet. Food is really very good, we have never been dissapointed. They do have items that are gluten free. Your wait staff wil help you with a GF choice. The wait staff are great. They are friendly, helpful and pleasant, even when they are slammed with business.
