A friend came down to South Jersey and brought us this unbelievable hoagie. This may be the most incredible one I’ve ever had. If I ever go to Connecticut one day I’ll be stopping here.

Probably the best sandwich I ever had. Generous portions, reasonable price, quick service. Too notch deli.

The Kovac’s special is a favorite. I add some pesto to mine. Everything is fresh – from the prosciutto to the bread. Good job guys.

Authentic Italian deli. Coming from New York, this is hands down the best Italian deli in Fairfield County. For those of you familiar with Dante’s on Central Avenue in Hartsdale, it’s definitely on par. Friendly staff with a large menu. Both hot and cold food to go.

If somebody asked for the list for Top 3 best pizza joints in CT you’ll almost almost always hear some variation of Pepes, Sally’s, and maybe Modern, Zuppardis or … honestly there’s a lot to choose from and it gets rough to truly put one ahead of another.

Gaetanos is the Absolute best when it comes to subs/grinders. My only problem is the Shelton location will refuse a phone order if you only ordering one or two sandwiches. The issue is I go to lunch with a half an hour..there are at least 10 people ahead of me when I arrive. So I try to place a phone order to get back to work on time. That’s ok though. If they don’t take my phone order, I’ll just go to Urban Greek where some of the dishes are better, wait time is much less. So there is really no sacrifice going with the second option. In my last attempt I was told by Gaetanos Shelton…we have a long “line” for phone orders…Really? Come on Man…stop with the BS. Your sandwiches are good but not that good when Urban Greek is right across the street. And Gaetanos Stratford is only 5 more minutes in travel. My money goes where I can go on a half hour lunch with enough time to get back on time. I’ll eat at my desk. Keep turning down my phone order..that’s fine with me. I have options

My wife stopped by today to pick up sandwiches for us. There was a long line, but the worker was extremely nice and gave her a few samples to try. They even sent home a sample of the buffalo chicken for us. I got the Bravo Milano with dried filet mignon and added balsamic which was amazing. My wife got the Frankie Soprano and really enjoyed it. We will definitely be going back and taking visitors when we have them!

Females beware: You will be cat-called at this deli by all the flirtatious men behind the counter. If you are having a day where you have already been harassed at other places just for being a female, (gym, gasoline station, work, etc) stay away from here.

I didn’t get to really taste anything good went there bc it was highly recommended I live in New Haven Wooster street area but Something went wrong with my staffs lunch order communications breakdown somewhere. My order was very wrong and incomplete had to go back 3x meatball parm sub but no parm just pain old meatballs.Than chicken salad with no grilled chicken , than they completely left out another whole sub for my staff. I tried this place bc it had the food network vote who voted them in so I’m not sure what happened who’s in that kitchen? Maybe short staffed ? I heard all good things too .and I take reviews seriously. My rice ball was sour and burnt my ricotta balls honestly more burnt sorry I was terribly disappointed Our lunch was ruined! The salads were fine !
