Our nugget history begins in the mid-1970’s, when the original owner, Lou Iandoli and his business partner opened Garden Poultry in the heart of Greenwich, CT. In 1978, grabbing hold of an opportunity to grow and expand, Mr. Landoli opened under the name of Garden Catering on Sound Beach Avenue; which is now known as our flagship location.
Sadly, Mr. Iandoli passed away in 1989 and Garden Catering closed its doors. Responding to the heartache of nugget fans everywhere, Frank Carpenteri Sr. purchased the business from Mrs. Iandoli, along with the secret recipes for Garden Catering’s famous fried chicken and nuggets.

I order from Garden Catering at least 3 times a month for lunch meetings. They are always on time with the food. I can call after submitting my order with my crazy substitutions/requests. I’ve grown up loving catering but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had at a garden catering branch. We got home to find that one of the specials was missing seasoning and cones as requested. The chicken was incredibly rubbery. The other order requested seasoning on the side and we received almost nothing in the containers as seen in the picture below. Will not be going back to this Garden Catering.

Classic breakfast and lunch spot. Famous for their Special – a half pound of chicken nuggets and fries. Everything else is great too! For breakfast, try the Hotsy – bacon, egg & cheese with spicy chili and cones (I substituted a hash brown). Be sure to try their dipping sauces!

Edit: 2023 update. Prices are higher (not just for chicken which is facing a shortage; a small box of potato cones is nearly $6 after tax) and yet the app and online ordering system automatically add a tip unless you opt out, even for pickup. Customers should not be asked to subsidize this business’ employees. This leads me to suspect Garden Catering is not paying its employees enough. Tips for pickup should not be opt-out, it should be opt-in.

Ordered a Grilled chicken salad while on my work break. When I went to pick up the order I was told everything was in the stapled brown paper bag. I get back to my work place to eat and there is no plastic fork and no dressing. Nothing better than a dry salad. Horrible waste of money.
