They made our wedding day!!!! They catered our wedding and rehearsal dinner. Not only was the food was absolutely delicious, they were so caring and accommodating. Chef Garfrerick is so talented and his love for cooking showed from the rehearsal dinner, that bread pudding was outstanding, to our cocktail hour appetizers, to the big event, we still have people talking about out food!!! Rachel makes everything perfect and makes you feel so special, she truly loves what she does!!! We have eaten at the restaurant as well, several times, and it is superb every time!!!

At 7:15 PM (the restaurant closes at 8 PM), we arrived for our 7:30 reservation for two. We were seated behind the wall, tucked into a corner at a small table for two. Within five minutes, we ordered the green salad, Chef salad, and pesto with tomato on bruschetta as appetizers.

Service was good. Presentation was good. My wife had the shrimp and grits she said it was pretty tasty but she’s not a big eater and the portion was not enough to fill her up. I had the barrel cut ribeye with grilled asparagus. It was a little bland and it is a barrel cut ribeye so I will excuse some of the toughness but it was a pretty tough steak.

Great food! We had the Halibut and the Shrimp pesto pasta. Saved just enough room for a delicious Chocolate Pot de Creme

The tomato salad was amazing. The pecan encrusted grouper was light and a perfect portion. The peach bread pudding was the chef kiss!

Want to know the best kept secret in Oxford? Garfrerick’s! My husband and I had contemplated eating here in the past, but it looked closed last time we drove by the restaurant. We gave it a go today and we weren’t disappointed. Our waitress brought out the best appetizer bread. It was so soft and I ate more than my share. I ordered the pasta puttanesca and my husband ordered the shrimp and grits. This place knows how to cook shrimp. They had the right amount of bite. Oh and the grits! Thick and creamy. So good! I liked the pasta puttanesca. Good choice for pasta lovers. The Kalamata olives had been marinated and the capers were very good. It says it had anchovies, but I didn’t really taste them. Our waitress was wonderful. We will be back when in town again.

Not impressed. Service was very poor. Our table is was in a total different room from the rest of our servers tables. She only came to table 1 time after she took our order and that was to deliver entree. Did not ask us to refill drinks. Was told at time we ordered that bread would be coming. Only after we ask another person we were told it was in oven. Several other tables that were seated after us received their bread before us. The red fish was a very small piece and was way over done. The ribeye was cooked as ordered (medium) but was extremely tough. Overall poor service and overcooked or tough. Not impressed.

Excellent tomato salad, particularly with generous chicken add-on. It was recommended by a friend and now we’ll be recommending it.

We visited two years ago and were excited to be back again. My partner again chose the halibut, though this time he went with the chef special, a miso-sake halibut with coconut rice and stir fried veg. I again had the quinoa veggie plate, though it was a different mix of veggies. As a starter we selected the special, a stacked tomato dish with black-eyed peas, corn and goat cheese. It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Our kind server, Tabitha, brought us some honeysuckle jelly she made to enjoy with the bread. It was all so tasty and so satisfying. We again were seated outside with our dog and it was wonderful.

Wow!! This is my fifth time here. I’ve never had a bad dish. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I’ll drive an hour or more out of my way to eat here. Everything is great, I don’t think you can make a bad choice off this menu. Highly recommended!!!
