Our favorite restaurant! We were so happy when we first heard that a vegan restaurant was opening in our area. It has exceeded our highest expectations. The food is delicious with a large variety of dishes for vegans, vegetarians and even those who eat meat, but want to try a healthier alternative. But, it is the loving and friendly atmosphere created by Christine and her incredible staff that makes the Garlik Vegan more than just a place to eat. It’s the best place to be in Western North Carolina!

First, I’m not a vegan but my girlfriend is. Garlik was highly recommended by the staff at Barkwell’s so we decided to try it for lunch. One of the things that really sold us on eating here was the outside seating area and we could bring our dogs. The waitstaff were amazing!! Started with wild mushroom soup that was delicious! Lots of flavor and very “meaty.” Lots of mushrooms, rice and vegetables. We got the taco pizza and added mushrooms and spinach. The pizza is huge and loaded with toppings. We had to take half of it home.

I was super excited to see this wonderful restaurant open up so close to my family’s house. No more having to drive all the way to Asheville to eat at a vegan restaurant! Everything I’ve tried on the menu is delicious (the taco pizza with avocado, the carrot cake, and the piña colada cheese cake were the best) and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. All the servers were super helpful in their recommendations and really friendly. Highly recommend! I can’t wait to return there next summer!

Such an amazing place! We had the chick’n alfredo Pizza, chick’n nuggets, broccoli cheese soup, draft Sierra Nevada, man n’ cheese! Love this place! Crayons and coloring books for adults and kids alike!

We, who are non-vegan, had been looking forward to trying this after hearing good things from friends. Split the white pizza which had a wonderfully crisp crust, two types of cheese (cashew and mozzarella) basil and spinach. All of the tastes blended well. We are looking forward to a return visit.

We came here on our anniversary this week after a friend recommended it. We are not vegetarian or vegan but appreciate all kinds of food. The atmosphere was quaint and bright, and clean. My wife ordered a curry chickpea salad which came with grilled sweet potato slices and a delicious dressing. I had a “power salad”. This is something not on the menu but they can make for you as a chef’s creation. It was amazing. It was filled up with good, fresh tastes. Dinner portions were huge and the price was very reasonable. The co-owner was our server and was so kind to us. Great service. Fantastic food. Very fair price. We have since told as many friends as we can about our experience at Garlik. We will see you again soon.

If you are VEGAN or vegetarian or embarking on a plant based diet, or even if you AREN’T any of those (yet :0), this restaurant is SOOO amazing! We have been there 3 times now (had both lunch and dinner) and each item we have had is high quality, fresh and delicious. There menu is comprehensive enough without being overwhelming. Their pizza for instance, uses vegan cheese, and a real yeast risen crust, plus lots of topping choices – some of the best pizza I have had, vegan or not. They have enough traditional feeling “meat” types of dishes, so if you are just transitioning to veganism, you will find the familiar, albeit the healthier “plant based version,” and many other lovely choices. They have a bar, but we have not sat there yet. They also have some yummy looking desserts but we have not tried them yet. Servers are all very friendly but professional and the owner has come out each time to ensure we were happy. As you can tell, we really like this restaurant!
