Great meat market! Really like their bacon and steaks are great. Got rib eyes today and grilled them. Tender, juicy and delicious. 3 bucks a pound cheaper than other meat markets around and so tender!! Stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon is grill or oven ready and very tasty. Big box factory grocery store cannot match the quality.

When you walk thru the door the smell of pit smoked meat hammers your nose and makes you way more hungry than before you walked in. The ladies serving the food are very nice and the food definitely doesn’t disappoint. We have been 3 times this week since we are passing thru Detroit, Tx

This is a fantastic place to eat. The pit master, Laura, makes some delicious smoked meats and sauces. I recommend this place even time.

Outstanding BBQ, had the brisket and mac and cheese. Both were fantastic. The Blueberry Cobbler was incredible and the real star of the show.

Was the best BBQ I’ve had in a while. Brisket was moist and ribs were falling off the bone. Definitely worth the 40 minute drive and we will be back!!

This Outstanding Barbecue is competitive with anything in Texas, including Lockhart. Great atmosphere and presentation. We tried the brisket, ribs, hot and regular sausages, mac and cheese, baked beans, and their special bacon and chicken wrapped jalapenos. The ribs were the best we’ve ever had and the brisket was also near the top of the list. There is also a wonderful store where you can stock up on all your meats including exotic meats such as elk. If you find yourself biking the Northeast Texas Trail, or just driving through It is well worth it.

Of you happen to be in Detroit at time when they’re open, do yourself a favor and stop. I almost kept driving and I’m so glad I turned around. The fatty end of the brisket had a perfect amount of flavor and melts in your mouth. The ribs were sweet and fell right off the bone. The cheesy potatoes, well I didn’t get enough of those. The boracho style beans were great too. I eat at a lot of BBQ places all over TX and I’ll rank this up there with some of the best. I’ll definitely stop back by.
