Was in town visiting family, this restaurant was suggested to eat at. We were seated and given menus promptly. A couple came in ten minutes after we did ordered and got there food first. When we finally received our food it was cold. Eggs weren’t cooked right and everything was cold. From where I was seated I could see into the kitchen and what I saw I would not eat here again. I watched a couple of the cooks eating food, grabbing things out of a reach in fridge food items as well as raw things, and not once did I see any wash their hands.

Tried calling 4 times to place an order, and the phone hung up on the 3rd ring every time. So,we had to go in person to place the order, which totally defeated the purpose. The food was good. My only complaint was that the chicken n noodles had to be put in a drink cup as they didn’t have bowls for takeout. When asked about the phone problem, we were told it was a weather issue. Unfortunately, the weather was fine, and there were no storms at all.

The food and service is usually great but we went in for dinner the other night. The service wasn’t great at all. The food wasn’t cooked very well either. We were the only people in the restaurant and then this man comes in by himself. This man ordered and got his food and left before we even saw our food. It’s like they forgot to make our food, because I mentioned something to our waiter and he said I’ll go check. Then we hear stuff start frying on the grill like the just started making the food.

Ordered the Ranch hand. Cooked just like we ordered. Food was good. Service was appropriate. It was very busy on a Saturday morning. We will eat there again.

Had made a call in order, 2 full orders of biscuits gravy, then the daily special chicken noodles served on mashed potatoes. Food was ready when I got there less than 10 minutes later. It was double bagged and it included plastic cutlery and plenty of napkins.

Although the food was prepared well, and the service was good, the menu prices are to high for the small food portions. After speaking with the server I was expecting the staff to be paid well, based off the high prices and small portions. This was not the case. I learned that they only pay their servers $2.13 a hour with no wage increases expected or ever received. The cook staff was paid minimum wage, with some slightly above at 20 to 30 cents. Bathrooms were filthy, tables not properly cleaned, got a general sense that the staff was not happy with their reward versus work expected of them. Not sure who owns this particular establishment but I get the feeling that they have no desire to run a family oriented restaurant. We refuse to eat at establishments that their only focus is to advance the income of the owners, with no concern for the welfare of their employees. We do not recommend this establishment and will never go back.

The chicken fried steak was way small and didn’t taste very well for $13. My girlfriend got chicken and waffles and it was one chicken strip on a pile of soggy waffles. The waitress did not refill my drink once. Total was $36 worst dining experience in ponca city. Don’t waste your money here!
