What a wonderful place to have brunch on a Sunday. Bright atmosphere and lots of natural decor make it a great place to relax while you dine. Their Schnitzel Sandwich is so good that you won’t even put it down once you take the first bite. Make sure you bring your appetite if you have the Challah Stuffed French Toast. It was almost more than one person could handle. Make sure to start off with the Smoked Salmon Dip starter, as it will get you excited for what’s to come. You can really see and taste the passion that is put into the food by their chef. Next visit, I will make sure to try their recommended desert as I was so full from the wonderful food. A modern beer garden…. Story book setting….. loved sitting on the patio. Celebrated Father’s Day with brunch, highlights were the chicken schnitzel & summer crunch salad w/ grilled salmon & peanuts. Great flavor combo! Finished the meal with several desserts. Dirt cake was cute & delicious! All said it was a great meal in a beautiful setting!

I took a friend to Garten today for a Sunday birthday lunch. The place is so charming. We ate inside, because of the heat, but they have nice patio seating too. We shared the fried pickle appetizer, which was amazing! It came with two soft pretzel rolls (served in a little flowerpot). The pan seared scallops with vegetables were a home run, too. The scallops were perfect and the veggies, served in a pesto cream, were outstanding. We finished with a creme brulee, and then walked the garden in back to see where the herbs are grown. The transformation of this property, and the unique, innovative menu, make Garten a must try on the Annapolis area restaurant scene.

Everything was amazing! Our server was attentive and kindly provided me with a sample of a drink to make sure I would like it. She did so without me asking. I ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich for my entre. The textures and flavors were perfection. I’ll definitely be back.

This is quite possibly the best brunch in the Maryland-DC area! Our group started with the delicious Burrata, seasonal Watermelon Salad, and Cheese Tray, and then got the Pretzel Bun Breakfast Sandwiches, seasonal French Toast (with fresh peaches), and the Eggs Benedict special – which was topped with a mustard-dill cream instead of hollandaise sauce, it was absolutely heavenly! You can taste the freshness throughout the whole meal, even in their crafty + super yummy cocktails. Very much looking forward to going back!

An innovative and modern beer garden! Loved the concept; loved the vibe. Consider all of your favorite German dishes up-plated with locally-sourced and natural, sustainable ingredients. This does not mean the giant pretzel isn’t worth every delicious bite- it simply means the schnitzel sandwich showcases chicken from local purveyors.
