Wow…what a cool place on the White River. Flew in on a small plane from Harrison, AR. Grass airstrip on site. You can literally land and park the plane within a couple hundred feet of the restaurant. The atmosphere is cool with lots of old memorabilia and nice lady playing the electric harp….listen carefully…it’s not just classical she’s playing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The prime rib was excellent! This place is definitely worth checking out! Helmets off to Gaston’s for such a unique place!

I had the french dip, there was a lot of meat, but the meat had no flavor, the au jus was watered down again, no flavor the , the BLT had a ton of bacon, but the bacon just wasn’t all that good.

The food was delicious and the view was amazing! On top of that, the atmosphere was very unique and charming. I had the pan seared trout without the sauce, but I think next time I will get the sauce. I also got a slice of the lavender cheesecake and it was amazing, I tried to get the recipe.

Our first experience was amazing! Great food all around. Went back tonight and the waitress got my son’s order wrong, never offered anymore water or drinks until 5 min before bringing the check. Salad plates and rolls brought after our food was served (only because I asked for them) My burger was over cooked and had no mayo mustard or anything. I couldn’t even eat it. When waitress came over and asked to clear the food and plates I mentioned how poor our food and experience was and she just threw out a pathetic sorry at us and brought us a $100 tab. I don’t know what changed from last wknd to this wknd but we will not be back.
