This is a busy, crowded restaurant with waiting times of nearly an hour before we were seated. I had the cod fish fry & my 2 companions had the bluegill fish fry. We had delicious cheese curds and a very surprisingly fantastic watermelon salad for appetizers. I would have enjoyed some appetizers rather than my cod fish fry bc the batter was soggy and not edible. The place was packed and extremely loud as the bar was definitely full and most patrons were drinking as well or sitting to hear one another. Parking is typical of Madison except for the parking ogre at the veterinarians office across from B&G who calmly explained that we couldn’t park in one of the right open spots outside the veterinarians clinic. Wow! What an exhausting and disappointing night out!

Great bluegill BLT but the salad that came with it was even better! My kid ate all of the grilled cheese with bacon and my husband really liked the Mafaldine pasta. We got our food in less than 10 minutes on a Saturday night. That’s gotta be some restaurant record!

We had such a wonderful time at Gates and Brovi. It was just the perfect atmosphere for the evening… Right from the warm greeting we received upon arrival, continuing to the welcoming attitude of the staff throughout our visit, to the superb food and drinks we thoroughly enjoyed from the menu.
