Unfortunately this is the first time I’m leaving a 1 star review for a business. Overrated reviews led me to ordering from Gavone’s. My friend and I decided to try them out and I ordered Gavone’s for delivery on DoorDash and I got the Vodka Pie with Ricotta added, vodka parm sandwich, and vodka entree baked ziti style with ricotta along with 2 fountain soda drinks for us. Before delivery, taxes, and fees the total came out to $66 and after fees and tip the total came out to $91.26. Once we got the food and we got it pretty fast since I left a generous tip for the dasher and that we live nearby Long Branch, the portions were small for the price they charge and not only that but the food was not that good compared to other pizzerias around here. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish it since the food wasn’t that great and lacked in flavor and ended up staying pretty hungry and ordered from Joe’s Pizzeria III in WLB which was much better. I highly recommend for anyone in Pier Village to try other pizzerias and Italian restaurants that are in neighboring towns such as Rizzo’s Pizza in Ocean Township, Joe’s Pizzeria III in WLB, and Belo Pizzeria in Eatontown. Gavone’s my friends I hope you can use this feedback to improve.
