The owner and staff were really friendly. We started out with a couple of dolmas and then I ordered the falafel rice while my husband ordered the chicken gyro. I loved that there were plenty of vegetarian options. The falafel rice came with the perfect amount of veggies and everything tasted great. We finished the meal with baklava paired with Turkish coffee. Can’t wait to come back here and try the other veggie options!

New favorite restaurant!! It was a weekday lunch date with my husband and we stumbled across Gazali’s. We quickly learned that Gazali’s has been an established restaurant in the area for 40+ years. The owner, MJ, was very welcoming from the second we walked in the door. He was great at explaining how they cooked certain items and recommending items. It’s a beautiful, very clean restaurant and it was so special to see the little personal touches MJ put in the restaurant (my favorite was the framed picture on the bar of his parents). I unfortunately only have one photo of the food because once the food and wine came, we couldn’t stop eating and drinking! We will be back many times and cannot wait to tell all our friends and family about this gem!

The Gyro’s here taste good! but boy was it the most expensive and messiest lunch ive ever had in my life! I got a single gyro, and I paid 13$ for essentially 4 slices of lamb/gyro meat, a slice of cucumber and onion, and a piece or two of lettuce. The tzatziki was mostly on the wrapper it came in. Enough on the outside to drench two wrappers and my desk in it. No fry’s or a drink. Would probably go back, but not for lunch.

I used to drive down to their old location over by Drake University all the way from Ames when I went to ISU. Their new location has much more seating, but the food has always been great!
