Here at Gen Hoe Restaurant, we take pride in our years of experience in Chinese cuisine. Everything from preparation to service is a reflection of our many years of serving customers just like you. The ingredients we use are the best available fresh vegetables, the finest cuts of beef, chicken breast, fish fillet, and ocean shrimp. We also strive to prepare them to bring out the best flavor. This includes cutting and dicing meat and vegetables to various shapes and sizes. We brown and fry the ingredients in woks at high temperatures to seal in flavor and juices, all specific to each dish. For our deep-fried dishes, we use the lightest batter and vegetable oil. Our chefs’ skilled knife and wok work has been refined over the years, but can…

I love this place. It’s like time traveling back to a time when a Chinese restaurant was special. Great atmosphere. Great old fashioned food. Great service. Great experience.

This is my FAVORITE Chinese restaurant! Good service, the staff is always so nice. I typically get take out but whenever I do dine in I always have a great experience. I could live off their chicken fried rice it’s so good. Good egg rolls and chicken main dishes as well, I like the sesame chicken and orange chicken. I highly recommend. Take out is ready fairly quickly and prices are good.

10/10!!! Went here for my Dad’s birthday and it was just excellent food and service. Even the owner was there and greeted us and had a good conversation. Stop by sometime!

Coming for here for the first time was very interesting! Even though you get seated pretty quickly, the wait time for help was pretty long! I really loved the crispy veggie egg rolls but the hot n sour soup my girl had could have been more sour but she did enjoy all of the ingredients inside it. The Szechuan beef was extremely salty and we sat with empty water cups pretty often. We would have appreciated if they were more away of filling up our cups!

AMAZING. The only word to describe this place. We went in on a whim driving past and ordered dinner for the entire family. Did not disappoint. Orange chicken, sesame chicken, Szechuan green beans, egg rolls, shrimp and pea pods, fried rice, and more. I would recommend it all, the egg rolls are large enough to be a meal in themselves. And the green beans are crunchy and delicious. If you’re looking for good, authentic food, this is your place!

Very nice restaurant plenty of parking and handicap accessible. Cloth tablecloths and cloth napkins make the atmosphere a little more upscale. The food is cooked made to order which means it is served hot and fresh. The servers are very attentive and you get exactly what you ordered. We had the youngest of the gentlemen serving and he could not have done a better job.

Finally a take-out meal after which I don’t have to guzzle a gallon of water! The “low salt” option is such a great idea. Sesame chicken and orange chicken were delicious (and you can control spice levels). Prawns were cooked really well too. Was not the biggest fan of the prawn toast as for me two slices of bread is a little too bread-y BUT thats a “me” issue. The one big criticism I have is that the dim sum is only available Sunday but apparently good things come to those who wait. Overall, very happy we found this place.

We had passed Gen Hoe on the road several times, and I always wanted to give it a try in hopes that its interior would match the ’70s exterior. The decor did not disappoint, nor did the food. While they have certainly updated the interior (the booths seemed brand new), there are plenty of Chinese/Asian touches that compliment the rather retro building. The food left nothing to be desired as portions were generous and flavors were robust. Another Google reviewer described the varied personalities of some of the waiters and described one of them as “surly.” I think we got the surly waiter! While not rude by any means, he was direct and effective as he delivered the plates and platters to the table with a thud. It was quite entertaining. I might have thought differently had I not been given a heads up by the other user’s review, but my partner and I enjoyed our visit. It’s a bit out of our way, but we certainly wouldn’t be opposed to trying it again. Gen Hoe!
